Would be good if they could build up to a big RAW match where Cena does the favours for someone like Kross. Cena doesn't really need wins.

I was thinking almost the exact opposite.

I know Cena was brought in especially to feud with Reigns, but I was watching it thinking what an amazing nostalgia kick it'd be if we got Cena vs Edge. It's like getting Hogan vs Warrior in 2000, except both can still go in the ring and havent become completely ridiculous as people.

Well yeah that would be great too. I guess this is probably his last run bar maybe a WM retirement so would be cool to see a few throwbacks.

I don't even need a run of throwbacks - I just think Edge vs Cena would be particularly cool, cos it's something that a lot of us grew up with. And while people could, in the case of Cena, argue for Orton, Batista or Punk, I think Edge vs Cena was in the case of both guys their best and most important feuds.

I guarantee on the big SmackDown before SummerSlam they're going to promote Edge and John Cena vs Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as their marquee match.

A gripe I have with wrestlers now is that while kayfabe might be dead, there's a huge lack of dedication to their characters.
Case in point, Alexa Bliss, who's IG handle even has wwe in the name, is currently playing a dark, magic using character on tv.
But one look at her IG and all you see is her being totally normal, and the exact opposite of what she is trying to sell on tv (poorly might I add).

It's not to say she shouldn't have a life outside wwe, but would it really be the hard to put aside your ego and need for x million more followers to actually keep up your character, on an account directly linked to your job?
I have no doubt she and all others have private hidden accounts for family and friends, so why not be a bit professional, instead of posting pictures of Disney, pigs and some very feminine looking dude.

That's why I respect Bray Wyatt even more with his fiend character, as for a long time there he maintained a mysterious persona in line with his character, posting in riddles etc.
Probably the difference is unlike so many chics (and guys) of today, he's not an IG-like-whore, who doesn't care about how many followers he has or finding the need to share his every waking thought and movement.

Gripe over

Are you sure about that?

Overall? Absolutely yes. He has always posted riddles and clues about what he will do next.
Again, it’s not about being 100% in kayfabe forever anymore, but other than a few “look how great I am“ pics Bliss posts of her from each previous nights RAW, from what I can tell she’s just non stop Disney posting, along with hanging out with I think her gay BFF.
Compare that to someone like Sheamus, who really does project his TV persona on his social media, and it’s night and day.

All I’m saying is, if I was trying to portray a pretty sketchy character in terms of believability, especially one that the company appears to be throwing their whole weight behind, I’d put a tiny bit of effort and professionalism into projecting that character on a company managed media account

A few weeks ago I said raw needed reinforcements. Add Cena, Goldberg, Kross, Keith Lee and soon Wyatt, Orton and Becky Lynch, and I reckon we won't see the same people in 2-3 segments on a 3 hour raw. Hopefully less repeated matches, although we are getting a tag title rematch despite Viking Raiders losing at MITB.
You'll get the same shit. It never changes/

It really is that predictable. Although I’m predicting it will be Cena and Edge vs the USO’s with interference from Seth, Roman and the mysterio’s setting up an 8 man tag for the main event

Rumours of strowman coming back. Wwe shop have just released a new shirt as well.

They did just release an alistier black shirt too though as well

It wouldn’t surprise me if Braun comes back. I just couldn’t see him working anywhere else, as he is more cartoon than a wrestler.

Certainly looks like a Cesaro Shinsake Crews IC title match coming up at SS probably

Makes the Cesaro Otis match last week really WTF

Geez there was some weird choices for the 2 festival matches.

as if you wouldnt instead have the other two guys wrestle— a visually giant looking bloke, and someone with massive athleticism.

And they should have read the room in putting on that women’s title match. Zero reaction for Belair who looked legit anxious and scared when she came out and stood in front of them and the entire huge crowd was silent.

Why not have Cena race across town and do a surprise entrance there - his meta self referencing would go down great there, as they actually might know the people they’re seeing (being presumably 99% non wrestling fans)

Flight time from Cleveland to Miami is about 3 hours--- so excluding transit to & from airports, etc. it's not physically possible for John Cena to be in Cleveland for Smackdown and at Rolling Loud on the same episode of Smackdown.
