I didn't realise that Jetta laid two crucial tackles, including the Davis tackle, to set up Dyson for the second goal.

I'd love to see move of that effort from Jetta. One thing I've noticed about him is that he seems to be hesitant to make decisions. Which is why he messed up his last shot but I think he did enough to keep his spot for next week.

Oh, and earlier in the game when he had to take on 2 Collingwood players by himself near the wing and managed to make one kick it out on the full. That was awesome, he's good at putting pressure on his opponents.

AMAZING GAME.
Was going for you guys and I was screaming like I have supported Essendon my whole life,
But then I realised I just hate collingwood that much, anywayysss,
Congratulations!

My throat's sore and that game nearly killed me but to put the icing on the cake for a great game, as I was catching the train home from Richmond Station I saw a pissed off Collingwood supporter trying to force the doors open as the train was about to leave while the Connex guy was telling him off. The doors closed in his face... very good times.

Gold! :D :thumbsu:

What got me was the Collingwood crowd crescendo in the last quarter when they broke down the northern side looking like they had us also out of position heading towards a certain goal. They were three goals up and their noise started to rise as one. Couple of times. Then Brown misses or whatever. They thought they had it won and were icing the cake/rubbing salt into the wound sort of thing.

The Essendon noise much more reserved for respecting brilliant play as it happens and then cheering a goal after it is kicked.

Anyway first live game for the year for me. Live out of Melbourne a distance and we were perched right up the top of the Ponsford after taking the kids to the march. Excellent view was able to see Stanton taken high up the Punt road end without any trouble. All in all we got good umpire but no-one is going to forget the day for a while.

(I must admit after defending Lucas last week and seeing him yesteday he has to go. The forward line functioned better with off the ground. Part of it will be a confidence thing and part of it he has lost pace after his injury last year.)
