Young guns playing under 14s(future stars)

Jose Romero confirmed as the coach of Doutta's U14 Div 1 side.

For all other coaching appointments.

John Barnes as Under 16 Div 1 coach is a great outcome too. The transition from U14 to U16 then on o seniors will be alot better moving forward with the likes of Romero & Barnes imparting their knowledge on the boys.

Douttas always did have a good junior structure as i understand, hope they stick to some young guns in there seniors this year.
Lotta people didnt Barnesy as a senior coach, hopefully he is better with kids.

The kids love him. Haven't seen a happier bunch of 15 year olds in a long time. He's perfectly suited for this age level.

I've been to most training sessions and while I'm not sure who some of the kids are, I do know these players who have been good.

Volpato
Okearney
Tyler ? plays at Keilor
Leaney
Kerbatieh
Palumbo
Laguda
Stewart
Wallace
Tremworth
Vernali
Formosa
Stillman
Condo
Peters
Franco

A young lad each from Avondale, Moonee Valley and a couple from Craigieburn whose names escape me.

I've probably missed a heap, but I'm not that familier with a lot of the kids.

Northern Saints are looking for future potential young guns in the Under 14's teams.
All boys and girls (born 1997 and 1998) and are welcome to join in at training. Wednesday and Friday 5pm.
Charles Mutton Reserve. Lorne street, Fawkner.

Anyone at the practice match on monday?

I thought a lot of the kids stood up today. Good players on the day were:
Blake ? (Avondale Heights)
Jaidyn Caruana (Roxy)
Ryan Townsend (C'burn)
Josh Flower (Roxy)
Stillman (Greenvale)
and a few more whos names i have forgotten.

Yea went down.

Stillman's a talent. Good mark with an excellent kick. Very impressed with a kid from Jacana named Aaron Austin? Huge kick who played well at FB.

Vujanic played in the ruck and dominated. Went to FF and kicked a bagful too. Morton from Moonee Valley worked hard, as did Gorgievski and Laffan from Craigieburn.

Franco, Palumbo, Kerbatieh (who got a heap of it out of the centre) Laguda, Trembearth, Valpato, Laveri (I think it was) from AH, Condo, Peters, Cootes, Wallis all played well.

You could tell they'd played the day before though. Great effort by all the boys to front up.

heyy guys,
I've went to a few doutta stars matches as my cousin plays under 14's. I kept an eye on a few kids. I noticed a boy last year in under 12 div 7 when watching grand final for 12 div 7 named Kane Testa. He has really good ability, speed and skill and picked up the ball many times with 1 hand. He won runner up B&F on 25 votes and this year is playing for Keilors 14 div 4 and has had 2 good games so far... You Need To Keep An Eye On This Boy as he will be a star.

These players were named on monday night as part of the Div 1 team.

17 players from Div 1 clubs, 2 from Div 2 and 2 from Div 3. There are 3 players who are missing who may not have been at training or that I just can't remember. If that's the case, my apologies to these kids.

Greenvale:
M. Stillman: Athletic type with great hands. Utility value.
M. Condo: Big, strong kid who will probably rotate through the ruck.
T. Walsh: Don't know much about him. Hopefully someone from Greenvale can help out.
J. Formosa: Great hands, tall, very good kick.

Keilor:
T. Vujanic: Most likely the #1 ruckman. Excellent hands and a great kick.
N. O'Kearney: Probably the best player in the comp. Reads the play well. Quick and athletic.
Z. Wunhym: Hard at the ball. Good hands and footy brain.
P. Huynh: Yall, gets around the ground well. Good back up ruckman.

Hillside:
J. Volpato: Hard as nails kid who'll run all day. Deadly kick and strong presence. Good leader.
B. Psaila: Anther one that I'm unsure about.

Pascoe Vale:
A. Clemente: Tall with good hands and kick. Kicked 5 on the weekend.

Doutta Stars:
T. Wallis: Son of Dean. Great kick of either foot, fast and elusive.
B. Laguda: Talent to burn. Can play anywhere. Vision and guts a plenty.
R. Eid: Workrate is his forte. Seldom beaten. Team player.
S. Stewart: Will go all day. Long kick, smart and athletic. Natural leader.

West Coburg:
P. Ntalians: Hard as nails. Good mark and kick.

Aberfeldie:
J. Peters: Tough little bugger who will irritate his direct opponent and others.
S. Hickmott: Man mountain. Huge kick, great hands. Lance Franklin like.

Strathmore:
T. Condon: Handy forward pocket. Despite size will still go in hard. Good kick.
Alex Coutts: Tall, tough and hard at it.

Oak Park:
H. Kerbatieh: Kicks off both feet. Great leap and vision. Will talk all day and show the way for his team mates.
James Leaney: Saw for the first time last night. Played a blinder.

Avondale Heights:
B. Laverie: Fast with an excellent kick.

Moonee Valley:
A. Morton: Really talented kid with excellent vision. Hard at it.

Roxburgh Park:
J. Caruana: Saw for the first time last night. Went well.

Westmeadows:
A. Franco: Quality player and excellent athlete who has done well at state level. Selected in squad, but heading to Europe to represent Australia at athletics and will miss carnival.

Went down and had a look at craigieburn yesterday,
Townsend lead well, took some strong marks and kicked 9 goals before coming to the bench for the last quarter with a busted finger.

Gorgievski provided good run from half back when the ball was there.

And Angus Wiseman got a lot of the ball and took some strong marks.
