There has been **** all for 2007 so far.

Ive only bought 1 album this year and im pretty sure that was released at the end of 05. Only 2 albums ive been looking forward to are Silverchairs and Shihads one which should be out in the middle of the year.

Traffic and Weather-Fountains of Wayne

I like Neon Bible, didn't really get into the new Modest Mouse. The singer sounds too similar to Mick Jagger, particularly on "Fire It Up". Sounds almost exactly like Mick on "Start Me Up".

I know that Brand New's "The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me" came out in the last week of November last year, but I only picked it up in January. I haven't stopped listening to it. It's easily one of my favorite ever cd's.

And from what I've heard, NIN's "Year Zero" should be pretty awesome.

As for the biggest let down:

Bloc Party - Weekend in the City.... i'm still devestated this turned out to be such a dud. I had VERY high hopes

LoL, absolute top album. Maybe not as good as Silent Alarm but still a quality CD. 'Uniform' and 'Hunting for Witches' are bloody good songs.

The second half has a fair bit of crap on it which may be why it gets a hard run from a lot of people.

That said, it's grown on me a bit and there are 5 or 6 pretty good songs on there.

Modest Mouse aren't really doing it for me anymore, The Moon and Antarctica = the bees knees, but this is just meh. Think I might say LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver, just pipping Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? and Neon Bible not far behind.

Amon Tobin's Foley Room is the only album that's stood out for me so far this year. This !!! album is growing on me, though.

I'm pretty sure they've gone back to the 'I'm wide awake its morning' almost country style, which I prefer. Still a big fan of his digital stuff too

Oh yes very excited about that.
Well for me my top 5 so far would be
1. Bloc Party - A Weekend In The City (I can't believe how many people are disappointed in this album, it takes a bit to grow on you but I haven't stopped playing it since! Such an unbelievable album. Kele is an epic songwriter and I love his views on things. Uniform gets the goosebumps going for me)
2. Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank (No comment needed)
3. Klaxons - Myths Of The Near Future (Get on them if you're not already)
4. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible (Haven't allowed it to grow on me)
5. Kings Of Leon - Because Of The Times (I have a pirated CD of it and the quality is annoying so haven't given it much of a listen (5 times) but will get the album soon)
