I’m on Day 10 now. Felt like a hangover in my first few days then started feeling much better. About two days ago I got really dizzy out of nowhere and had to go to bed at 7pm. Still not feeling 100%. Feel like I can’t get a good full breath and get tired very easily. Getting a bit fed up with it now. I hope I get back to normal soon.

Good news from a few in here regarding symptoms lasting a couple of days and then largely subsiding. Is everyone double jabbed or have some of you had boosters?

I’m considering laying low until I’m boosted, with a newborn I don’t want to be out of action for any more time than I have to be, so if I can have the third shot before I catch it I guess that would be preferable.

I'm double jabbed but no booster, I'm not eligible until next week, booked in start of Feb.

Double jabbed in our house too. Due for the booster in Feb but likely to not get it til March now.

fwiw at no point has it impacted my or my wife’s ability to look after our 6 month old, just make sure you got some oanadol for you and the little one.

I know about 30 people who've had it, luckily none have had any major illness. Couple of people who were really anxious about it had caught it and are feeling a lot more at ease. A mates unvaxxed brother caught it and has been sick for two weeks now.

A friend on Day 10 was too stuffed to make it across the car park into the shopping centre yesterday. Said she was feeling okay but as soon as she tried to do a bit above the usual shuffling around the house, wasn't up for it. Improving every day though. Good luck, it might take just a bit more time.

9 days since testing positive using a RAT and feeling as close to 100% as I have over the past 4 months. For my wife and myself it seemed to hit really hard for 1-2 days then almost go away completely. Not like a normal cold where you can feel like shit for weeks this was super fast for both feeling shit and feeling better.

Head spins were easily the worst of the symptoms, have only felt something remotely similar just before a panic attack.

Mrs tested positive last night (was a close contact), only symptom is hayfever lol. Only got a couple of rapid tests in the house so will have a crack on one tomorrow. I work in an industry where close contacts are permitted to work, only issue would be getting hold of enough rapid tests to get through the week (if I don't test positive tomorrow).

Good luck with it. Did you get both your jabs?

If you don't mind me asking.

Do you have to test every day to work? 🙁

Scratchy throat last Friday progressed to mild flu like symptoms by Sunday. Finally got my hands on a RAT and tested positive. Monday was probably worst day (tired, horrible cough and sore throat, lethargic and then night sweats and vomiting) been on a slow improve since then but still a long way off 100%.
I suspect that because we’ve all been anticipating this would be REALLY bad we’re underselling it to a degree (I know I have been).
Biggest positive is my 6 month old tested positive but seems to be absolutely fine.

This is what I have rn.

Last night was covered in sweat + had an awful urge to vomit (thought it was acid reflux tbh)- but didnt (just). Still feeling just crap/lousy and my throat real "scratchy". Perfect way to describe it, its not that sore. A little bit of a cough but not much.

Other than that, am ok.

You got yourself a RAT?

Good stuff, hope you stay in reasonable nick. And look after yourself phantom13
My mum was sick about two weeks ago (and i was with them at the beach house), she tested negative (the proper test) so maybe its just whatever thing she had, ive got.

Oldest daughter tested positive on RAT on Wednesday and my wife yesterday (Saturday).

Daughter had a mildly scratchy throat, my wife the same but also with it hot and cold flushes.

Myself and my younger daughter are both fine and tested negative on a RAT.

We're all double vaxxed, me AZ, wife and older daughter Pfizer and younger daughter Moderna. I'm the only one who's had a booster, AZ last Monday.
