Reminded me of BF's most famous post by then great poster Weaver lol!!

"Worst trade ever?

That's easy. Pick 16 and 46 for Stephen O'Reilly who played 12 games for you. AND you had to pay him illegally outside the cap. AND he blew the whistle on you. AND you had to pay a fine. AND you got kicked out of the draft and had to recruit hacks. AND it meant that your mulit-million investment in Denis Pagan was a waste because he had no players.

Stephen O'Reilly for - Pick 16, pick 46, $1m fine, pick 1, 2, 17 and 33 in the 2003 draft, pick 1 in the 2003 PSD, 1st and 2nd round picks in the 2004 draft.

I reckon that would have the McMahon trade covered by a couple of laps of Flemington, then a trip down the highway for a run round Caulfield, before a backtrack to run the length of the Moone Valley straight."

What thread is that from Tige?

It's a famous retort from the then Richmond mod Weaver. That guy was a bit like Knightmare as he knew the juniors well and ended up being hired by one of the WA teams in their recruiting department. One of the Carlton posters was telling the tiger board how bad the McMahon trade was and he let loose!

Only problem being that this oft quoted post is flawed.

LOL. Well that really showed him then didn't it :D

Andy Collins and Shaun Grigg.

Kreuzer probably my favourite current Blues player by virtue of being mates with the Cotch. Jamison went to my high school as well so have a bit of respect for him.

They are hard to like but SOS Bradley Jezza Kouta and Sticks played footy that was hard to dislike. Liked Diesel much better pre Carlton but that may have been the jumpers influence. Vin Waite was at the other end of the scale. Crosswell was a beauty also

Dont know if hes been mentioned before (because i have only read the last 2 pages of thread ) but i like classy exciting players - so i would say Syd Jackson - specialist half forward flanker - athletic build - great mover - and a superb drop kick on the run

Those excitable Carlton supporters - out Royal Pde way - use to love him in those big finals - late 60s early 70s

Bradley, and not because he was a champion of Port, as this is completely regardless.

Q: Why then?

A:

Seriously! Look at the calibre of players Bradley bested in that passage of play. And then to finish it with that banana.

One of the greatest goals ever.
