Watched a mate of mine get his first hole in one yesterday, playing off [emoji6].

My only ace happened twenty-odd years ago on the seventeenth hole of a particularly ordinary stroke round. Was so shitty with my play that I didn’t even enjoy it. What a w***er.

Got a voucher for flinders but would love to play somewhere new too, Rosebud North would be a good one to tick off.

32 pts at Bayviews this morning.
Not to bad since I went to bed at 2 am after a night on the Whiskey and had a 7.30 am tee time
It’s not a bad little track, greens are in excellent condition, some good holes, but it was bloody hard work walking up and down Arthur’s Seat ….12 th hole nearly killed me.

After ordering my new sticks, I hit an awful 93 (short game stopped it properly blowing out) at Wembley on Friday. Figured I’m thinking of the new ones and no longer invested in the old ones. Anyone had this feeling? Like being with the ex but knowing the actual one is on the way

Dont really rate it. and only recently played. I also think its a rip off for price point.

But FIL already booked a spot there so couldn't convince him to come play elsewhere

I love Flinders- so many ways to play it, lots of subtle breaks on greens, normally in good condition

I’ve had four rounds since I last posted. The first three below at my home course, City Golf Club:

• 26 points on the 21st
• 23 points on the 28th
• 95/84 (par 70) on the 4th Jan fell apart at the end
• 34 points at Gailes Golf Course yesterday in Brisbane. Had 22 putts but the rain affected bunkers cost me big time. Stuck a lot of second bunker shots stiff. Wish it was the first. One took me three bunker shots before I got up and down. Terrible lies though.

Playing tomorrow morning at Virginia Golf Course in Brisbane as my wife has an apartment there she rents in Southbank since her career change.
Will play somewhere else in Brisbane on Wednesday. Haven’t decided yet.

86 at Phillip Island yesterday. Driver inconsistent, putter good. Timed the weather perfectly, no one there when we started, first tee packed when we came thru 9.
I rate it highly for a little coastal track with not much cash.

24 points today at Virginia Golf Course in. It was abysmal so the less said about it the better.

Just a social hit at the peninsula kingswood gc. Very windy as it was on both peninsulas. Dunno what I shot but lost a ball. walked off around 70% of teh round in given the conditions.
