84 at Flinders. Way to me doubles.

Rusty poor shots really hurt me. Coupla birdies on the two out of the three hardest so happy with that. Not so happy about doubles on the three easiest.

Putter was okay after about 3 holes. Happy with that.

Tried to use the driver more, par 4 8th, into breeze absolutely nailed one into a couple who were slow in front, probably out of my range but landed about 5m behind them, split them as it bounced 5m in the air. Whoops. 298m with roll about 20m short of the green. They were good sports about it.

I'm back! I've had an awful couple of months. I had the yips pretty bad. Couldn't take the club head back at address. It was awful. Couldn't really putt, chip or hit irons. Drives were sort of OK. Completely lost my swing and an touch with putting and chipping. Ended up forcing the club back with one hand almost like hitting one handed to try and force a swing. It's taken about 2 months of playing terribly. Last 3 rounds I've played to my handicap, 18 holes Sunday and 9 holes Monday and tonight. Putting is much better, just a couple of drives per round cost me.

Heidelberg tomorrow.

Any tips TennisPlayerAndy ?
Good luck on the greens is all I can say if you’ve never played it before.

The 6th hole is an absolute prick of a thing.

Highlight holes - 2, 4, 9, 14, 15.

You might be able to drive the green in the 5th.

86 at Phillip Island yesterday. Driver inconsistent, putter good. Timed the weather perfectly, no one there when we started, first tee packed when we came thru 9.
I rate it highly for a little coastal track with not much cash.
Never knew there was a course there

Par event first day back at the Heath. 2 down. Acceptable.
Still yippy on long putts, very disconcerting. Sort of twitch just before impact.
Any cures out there?

I enjoy long putts and get plenty of practice such is my inept shots in. I focus on getting good contact ensuring a good ball roll. Walk the line and figure out where the fall is if there is one. Think I just have to get it there. Smooth long stroke.

I generally just break it up into more manageable short putts, usually about 3 of them.
Works a treat.

Paddy Harrington would recommend you “get more atletic” - keep your feet movin as you step into address de ball. Then putt.

You’ll enjoy it. It’s in great nick at the moment.

I did not enjoy the last 5 holes.

24 points to there, 2 points coming home.

The pin placement on 4 was a complete joke, next to the ridge line to bunkers, anything that rolled just past ended in the bunker or miles away. Absolute horrendous spot.

I assume it wasnt Mudway today?

Opposite today. Fairways dry and rock hard. Laid up with a 4 on my second shot on a par 5 from 220 and it ran out to about 10 metres short. I was trying to hit it 175.

Greens in great nick, but I tended to overread the breaks. 4 three putts prevented a much better score.
