Super hard agree. Was a tough course but can't fault the condition was excellent.

Wouldn't be a fat member there, some of those hills.
Yeah, anyone over 60 is in a cart. It’s a good workout though.

The hardest part is playing on other courses because you never have a flat lie at Heidelberg.

Played Ranfurlie today and was super impressed.

Golf was a little all over the first 8 holes, couple wipes, zero pointer. Then brought it home strong 24 points in last 10 holes.

Was absolutely duffing my wedges from inside 100m with second shots, happened 4 times on the back 9. Still was making pars and bogeys but my score should have been even better.

Would def play again for $70 as guest of a member.

Option for golf day?

Sorrento GC have circulated a proposed set of big changes to the course. Shorten the 12th, change the par 3 13th by setting up two alternate tees, move the 14th to travel next to water on what is now the practice fairway. And finally, the addition of a massive 266x90m practice fairway. Given range balls are designed to go 25% shorter than gamers, there won’t be too many of the old fogey members troubling the far end of the range.

Total cost circa $5m - to be met out of existing and future cashflow.

Not sure I am for or against it.

For some reason my score hasn't been uploaded to GA for me even though my playing partner has his there. Called up today, they said would sort, haven't sorted.

Will probably miss out on my 35 points. Will be asking for my $3 return of comp fee.

Commonwealth GC (aka CGC). Hard work in the heat, though nothing compared to what toxic endured.

i like the greens. very nice pure distinction made famous by PKCGC. Fantastic to see it in various places now.

Would like to and looking to play it again given the general shitness of my game right now.

Is the 13th the one back over the valley to the green set into the hill?
Generally into the wind. I’ve used driver off the tee on that hole….do not like

That’s the one. Looks like the plan is to turn the orientation of the hole around ninety degrees and move the green back near or on the existing fourteen tee with separate alternate tees forty five degrees or so apart.

It is a pretty big change to the course.

Not sure the membership really needs the awesome practice facilities that are planned - but I guess it is planning for the future to keep pace - somewhat- with other much bigger clubs

Question, after some advice if anyone has done this.
I'm in Japan atm, and looking to buy a paradym smoke driver, priced at $450 here. Elyte driver is out so the smoke is old news
Question, has anyone brought 1 club overseas and brought it back? Get it boxed up at the store?
I'll probably take the head off and throw that in my bag, and worse comes to worse get a new shaft when i get back if anything happens to it

Ask them if they will ship it?

1. Ask them to box it and put some packaging inside like bubble wrap.
2. Or take off head and ask them to wrap shaft.
