4 over again tonight for 9 holes. Feel like I've hut this score a lot recently.
I think reading putts is probably my most costly error. That 8-15 foot range, I just don't make any. I hit bogies and pars, could easily be more pars and some birdies. Will talk to the club pros about this. Any brilliant advice from anyone here?

The vast majority of us miss on the low side. It wouldn’t take much after each round to think about each of these putts and ask yourself where the misses were. You might be able to identify a pattern.

And again, for most of us, the problem isn’t not making 8-15 footers, it’s 3 stabbing from there.

28pts.
Black tees (Now called Brass!)
Not good enough off the tee although did birdie 12 which was waaaay back.
Mark Allen gave me a putting tip and yips are gone.
Tuck shirt under armpit, hold it in with your left arm. Forces you to putt with shoulders, no hands.

What are the names of the other tees?

Maybe tees should be differentiated by clubhead speeds? Club pro tests you before you go out and then, "Ah sir, today you will be off the 85mph tees".

Actually, take it one step further. Make people carry a mark on their bags that prohibits them from going off inappropriate tees.

Basically switched them to the club colours. Yellow, Light blue, Navy, Brass.
I think the stigma of playing off the reds is being whittled away. Keeps blokes playing longer and having fun when they can't hit so far anymore. Many now do play off the front tees. Helps with pace of play also.

I must confess i only say navy and yellow when i played last.

in any case, my club has moved from red tees to another colour. some have complained asking why the change? They then add "id never play off the reds (ladies) anyway)"

wut

I tried to change the forward tee colour to something other than Red at my club ten years ago (as no male would play from them).

I'm headed to the Mornington Peninsula for a 3 day golf trip tomorrow. Carts are included for each course each day.

Is it appropriate for me to forgo a cart and choose to walk whilst the other three ride?
Depends where and which course.

Moi personally walk. Enjoy the walk!

Then again, if carts are included, its like use it or lose it. BUT, if you're a walker, and you're more comfy walking, walk

I often do. Unless it's a resort course with 100m between tees. At Lonsdale a few weeks ago I walked while they carted.

**** that, that’s extra walking.
Mate, I'm skipping to the green, putter in hand and a smile on my face. 6th a Royal Freo is a great one for this. Tiimmbo placing your bag next to the 7th tee, walking down hill, putter in hand, talking loudly about your upcoming birdie putt. Good times.

Holy shit, Mark Allen is a lifesaver. Any tips for the yips when chipping? I’ve got an essential tremor, hereditary on my Dad’s side, that I believe is part of the reason why I got the yips about 13 years ago.
