Other Your NFL Uniform Designs

The recent mentions of the Seattle uniform got my creative juices flowing. I really like the darker blue version here.

* Templates courtesy of this NFL uniform database which revealed the first use of a Black uniform (as their alternate uniform) in a game was by the Jaguars in 2002, then Eagles and Falcons in 2003, Ravens in 2004, Lions in 2005 and Cardinals in 2010.

I like the 2nd one, but instead of gray pants/helmet, i'd have white pants and use the darker blue for the helmet. I'd then have green on the number outlines, as a middle stripe on the pants between two stripes of that lighter blue, and as a thin strip in the middle of the neck collar. The socks i'd have as that lighter blue but with a couple of dark blue and green stripes on it.

Yep! Thanks for doing a mock up of that.

Try this too....Pants stripe: two dark blue stripes outside the ligher blue ones. Socks: three thicker dark blue stripes with green between each.

What do you think of that look?

Yeah sorry i'm sticking with my original call, except i'll cop their old blue with the new green.

I did notice looking through Steve Largent pics that the green never stood out that well anywhere but the helmet.

2nd attempt for GG

The dark blue accent breaks the pants up a bit and I like these socks.

With the 70s/early 80s Seattle uniform the green was very thin on the uniforms and got lost against the white, only when the logo was added to the sleeves did the green stand out a bit more (and then only on jerseys with the full sleeves)

Thanks for doing that Broken. I really love that uniform idea. You should post it around the Seahawks forums. I'd just tweak the pants stripe so that the dark blue, lighter blue and green are equal thickness.

Broken, can you give me the traditional colors with the lime green instead of the kelly green?

Not sure if this is what you're after krisholio

I kept the helmet logo and sleeve logo unchanged, but made the number outline, socks and stripe more in line with the 1970s green Seattle used.

Is there room for an NFL design thread here, or should we use the Footy Design section of BigFooty as designing uniforms/logos as there seems to be a lot of interest in the NFL logos/uniform changes.

yep, pretty sure that's what he asked

and as for your other question.....Rory did an afl/nfl jersey thread on this board, but that's the only thread we've got here. I think it's best to use the Graphics Design board for more thorough mock-ups, etc, as that's what that board is for. But i don't see a problem with us having our own graphic design thread on here, as long as it's just one single thread that everyone posts their mock-ups in.

I did a couple quick photoshop jobs for what you asked....(one with the original blue, one with the modern blue).

I'll upload a version of what I asked Broken to do for me asap.

White helmet with that might look better.

I think the 2nd one of Steve Largent so far looks best, the original blue with lime green. Kinda too close to the Lions look, so the lime green helps differentiate the two teams.

Lime green as a highlight splash color as an overall idea works for whatever design.

Not my design, but this Redskins concept helmet would be better than the current, imo...

Very schnazzy design for the Redskins new style helmets.
I like the way the feather runs over the middle.. no different to the way I like the little way the line runs up the back of the stockings...

A much bigger fan of the stockings than the helmet.
Prefer the current helmet personally, the feather and logo look odd together in the concept version.

GG that first Skins helmet looks like it's been scalped!! Not sure that will prove popular.
