Just reminded of how I was recruited and I thought I would like to hear other stories

I was wandering around the NFL board and got an email from Blacky

I mentioned he needed to leave a brown paper bag on my doorstep

He did so but I must warn against putting burning paper bags out by stomping on them

So how the hell did you end up here? Did you wander in by mistake , were you recruited as part of a club board drive by or did you stumble on here and decided you liked these sick freaks?

The SFA were playing the Carlton board and i decided to give it a miss, days later AceAndy tagged me into the matchthread where i had no idea what i was doing so after the game old Ace didn't ring me up but TedDougChris did.

A bit like Robertio where the SFA played St Kilda, had a choice of clubs, but seeing as when a little tacker I used to follow Pt Adelaide in the SANFL, I chose Swamprats because most of their team at the time followed Port.
Had a hiatus for a couple of seasons, which helped put the Swamprats into a successful era. Recieved a message from Ant Bear to see if I’d like to return & thought why the ffff..hell not!
Lasted another couple of seasons before the doyen of SFA, the one with the gift of the gab, the lady killer, the one & only BLUEALLTHRU (was that all you wanted me to say BAT ?) came a knocking, so how could I refuse such a charming face, I became a Baghdad Bomber.

WaynesWorld19 pm’d me one day out of the blue and said that my humor was really good and he could use that humor in a group he was in. He asked me if I was interested and being fairly bored I said yes. Next thing I know I was playing werewolf and actually believed that was part of the SFA matches and stuff. I honestly had no idea what was going on. I still have no idea what is going on half the time. I struck up some interesting “friendships” early. Mr GUH (Grand Uncle Horace), PMBangers and Squirrel (Chipmunk) all played a big part in me staying in those early days. But it was ABV (VainGlorious ) and Santoz that really influenced me. The team PM was cranking and was so much fun to be part of. It’s one thing getting people to join, but another keeping people engaged. Anyway since then our team PM is still cranking. It’s a great diverse group of people. I ain’t going anywhere! I love an opportunity to interact with everyone.

Cannot remember for the life of me - somehow I was playing chess with Chipmunk I think? And he invited me to have a look at bigfooty…I’m sure he can confirm

I was hiding in a fridge on a cargo ship carrying a shipment of flyswatters to NASA when a voice from the freezer said

"Hey mate,

The Wonders desperately need a rookie to join them in a fantasy comp on BF. It's all about having some fun with banter and you can choose how active you want to be. I think you'd be a great fit and you'd be doing them a big favour.

During the season, games are posted on Mondays, we banter through the week and the games are posted Sundays. The sim does all the work so all you have to do enjoy some good natured banter. It's a great way to get to know other supporters in a neutral environment.

The SFA really is a hidden gem on BF. Can we lock you in for a spot on the team? Have a crack for one season and see if it's your go.

Naturally I ignored it.

Then the voice said

"Any interest mate? The Wonders are now full but I have a spot at the Royals."

I was in.
