Feels like it's the right time. He's still had some good games this year but Father Time catches everyone sooner or later.

What an incredible pick-up and weapon he's been for the team. Special thanks to the Blues for vastly under-estimating just how good he really was.

Can't have a Zach thread without the wink

Geelong Cats Flirt GIF by NAB

Broke Melbourne great Jim Stynes’ record for the most games by an Irish player, after making his 265th appearance in 2023. Who will forget his insane celebrations after the 2022 GF, a long time coming for Zach, and his pride in the Irish flags.
Excellent craic, we've been blessed to have him, it's never an easy move..
Enjoy your family and retirement, whether that be back in Ireland, or here.

What a great character and contributor Tuohy has been to the club.

The recruitment of Dangefield was obviously the main factor that kept us knocking on the door all this time, but underrated players such as Tuohy were also very important additions. While the writing's been on the wall over the past two seasons, he's still battled it out manfully to the very end.

That rebound off half back has been a driving force for us over the years. If anything it's a shame we didn't have the forward line to properly capitalise from that during a number of Tuohy's best seasons. In 2022 we did and he was still all class in what was his last elite year.

Zach not only embraced but strengthened the Cats culture under Scott. Undoubtedly he would've been a great team mate to train and play alongside.

If only Zac had played in a game where he kicked a goal after the siren to win.....

Would have made a complete career...

oh wait...

You know hes only retiring to get this played more.

A great Geelong player and certain shoved it right up everyone who was complaining about the trade we did that got him to Geelong.

Reggie truly is one of the game's true characters. While we all expected this year would be his last, he has been a great addition to the Cats since coming from Carlton. I'm so happy for him that he walks away from footy being a premiership player. I have always loved everything about him as a player. Tough as nails, has a great kick, and is very dependable down back, but could also be serviceable on the wing and sometimes as a forward. Thanks so much, Reggie, for everything you have done for the club, and all the best for you and your family's future.

He’s been amazing for the club , does he goes back to Ireland and potentially some sort of development for the club over there? It could be an untapped resource espically looking at the potential of Mullin this year.

Hopefully he can reflect back on his achievements because it’s been an incredible journey for him.

I didn't have low expectations when Tuohy came to the club. But he has certainly exceeded my hopes for what he'd bring to the team over his time with us. His durability, team-first ethic, and undoubted skill to both play and read the game have been fantastic to witness. And he's left an indelible mark across the competition as well in becoming the second most famous Irishman to ever play the game, behind the truly legendary Jim Stynes.

Thanks, Zach, for all the years and all the memories. That goal after the siren to cap a comeback for the ages on our home deck will never be forgotten. But it says plenty about the quality of your career with us that there are plenty of other amazing moments to recall and countless handy wins in which you played a major part. And when supporters think of the #2 guernsey in years to come, they'll absolutely remember your many serviceable seasons in it.
