I can understand why a fremantle fan would think that nothing is a "garuntee" but we're already in a much better position than a couple of years ago. I know you'd like us to be dogshit for the best part of 30 years like Fremantle have been, which is why you're always in these threads trying to remind everyone how bad we are, but it's just not going to happen.

Richmond was a powerhouse in the 70’s and did nothing for years Hawthorn took 50 years to win their first premiership.
It’s what you do that counts not who you think you are.
Essendon and Carlton were powerful clubs and their ego got in there way in changing to the new trading and drafting era.
Who knows what West Coast will do in the future but their list management decisions in the last 5 years has been horrible.
If the Eagles are going to be successful in the future they need good coaching and list development. It’s not a given because of history.

It kinda is, if it wasn't then you wouldn't have list managers of clubs saying they had to accept the deal even though it wasn't as much as they wanted, because they could have put him in the PSD and got nothing for him. So, if the clubs are wary of it, then it's a thing.
