Logan Morris pressure and second efforts were huge. Stoked he got reward for effort.

Lachie with a huge bounce back game from last week, 3 votes easily and BOG for me.

Obviously shocking start to the game, definitely need to look into our starts without moving too much away from our system.

Great fight back on an important day with the flag unfurling, which I thought was done incredibly well.

First half was really poor, real lack of effort. Thought Neale and Berry were amongst the only ones who worked hard.

Big change in attitude in the second half. Quality and fitness really started to come to the forefront. Lester and Harris became a bit of a brickwall intercepting at will. Ah Chee our best forward by a fair way

I guess you can argue that against a stronger side we may have mentally been more switched on early in the game.

You never know. Credit to the Eagles today, they were great and caused us problems last year as well.

Lester was massive in defence today. His marking under pressure and his second effort double tackle were huge. His decision making was rock solid.

Rayner’s eight disposals at 50% Disposal Efficiency was a real low light. He had a filthy day.

In the votes, I went Zorko, Neale, Berry, Lester and Dunkley. Very honourable mentions to Andrews, Fletcher, Ah Chee, Bailey, Morris and McInerney. Hipwood picked up as the game went on.

I’d get Fort straight back into the Seniors for Day. Fort’s game against Sydney was significantly better than Day’s today.

Really looking forward to Cameron, Lohmann and hopefully Starcevich returning.

Lachie 3 votes, we are a much better side when Clug is getting his hands on it, Fletcher works so hard and Lester just does not make a mistake. Concerns around the forward line but a mature performance in the end. Harley Reid might want to start influencing games before carrying on like a moron.

Unfortunately, Day provided far less than Fort. He is break glass only and should be replaced next week as I’m not sure he’s capable of getting across the ground.

Geez our structure was just not evident today. It seemed like West Coast just told their players to abandon the zone and go man-on-man and we weren’t up for that sort of game until we absolutely had to be.

We have to be ready for the ambush every week now. Every team has the reigning premiers circled on the calendar. We know we prefer being the hunter not the hunted, but that’s the price we pay for winning a flag.

If our midfield could show up before the second half next week, that would be great.

It was good to get the 4 points - a few times I was worried we wouldn't get there but I did think we would overpower them in the end.

Loved the bloke who tried to give Harley Reid some Kleenex - that bloke in the crowd deserves a vote I think!

Ah Chee is so important for us up forward at the moment with Cameron and Lohmann out - hopefully those two are back next week!
