Unbelievably busy at work bro, have been running on fumes for weeks, have caught a bit of the Fev stuff.

Gotta say I think it is harsh on him.

The guy is like a teenage kid no doubt, but the way everyone at Carlton threw him to the wolves surprises and disappoints me. Just my opinion. The stronger stance here would be to resolve it internally, pretty poor form IMO.

I cannot understand why they get away with spitting on our game and our players. Clearly these guys are the kind of people who loved footy, but could never get a game even as juniors. It is the sole reason most young people turn to umpiring. Anyone with any logic can see they have a natural bitterness attached with that, and many of them are like school teachers who love to try and assert some power, as they fail in life.

Why mate, why do we pander to these cheating losers? It's hurtful and it makes me sick that the AFL do not have the leadership or management ability to cultivate good umpires into the system, much less stop these arrogant w***ers harming our game.

My point is further demonstrated when you see how they officiate against forwards, who are the guys umpires would naturally despise in life.

Last week, umpire Rosebury said to Hodge in that Munchkin voice they all reverberate, that he should go read the memo and learn the rules. He said it like such a smart arse and was actually inciting him to say something back.

It is ridiculous that they are miked up, I agree with you. For what purpose other than to infuriate people. As you said not only do they all sound the same, but they play it up as well, and speak to the players with total disrespect.

Check this out Thrawny. No different to what Fev cops, but my hatred of umpires is growing by the week. They just hate forwards and do not care about the rules whatsoever in their pursuit to make it difficult for them.
