The whole professions thing is a joke also as it is purely based on buying stuff to level which means there are tons of high level people for each profession and again forfeits any vailidity in that.

I really hope the next one actually takes a brilliant concept and makes it an adventure not a grind. You shouldn't have to grind it out alone. There has to be other challenges that I have not found in WoW. I hate the addons stuff as to me it is cheating. And I also have a massive problem with the whole repetiveness of the quests. The fact it was the first one and how good it still is should be acknowledged but to have that userbase and capacity and to have it become a race for the missing Epic Armour piece is bizarre. I also do not like how the characters are on the same place so early. You should not even contemplate meeting up till level 40 which would make the journey a linnear and (therefore more challenging one). Don't mean to whinge but this game really grabbed me and I had to vent to someone about the things that have disappinted me.

AoC just lacked imagination. If I had to guess the original developers were bought out or left or something. That game had it all but never went anywhere which is probably why the mob who played all day everyday got bored.

As for WoW that too has the same problem but because it has continuity and depth it seems to be the choice for everyone.

You know what my one criticism of WoW is bro. I have never put so much time or become so immersed in a game before but I am starting to really wish I had gone a different route because it's becoming increasingly disappointing the number of level 80's or nothing in the game. Playing for a few months and you can't help get an empty nothing feeling after about level 20 that seems to be what happens till 80. To me if I am right it will be a major let down. Levelling is one thing, but if the game is rhetorical ill 80 and then becomes a battle of the pointy end of money and stuff I will spew. I never got this vibe in AoC but at the same time it seemed really infant and also relatively empty. To me AoC still puzzles me in that I don't get how the developers could have the smarts to build what they did but be so stupid to drive everyone away by stopping at third base so to speak.

You know what. I am pretty useless but know enough to know you are spot on here. I never thought about it that way. The problem for me is that i love strategy but only on my terms. This kind of hit and run stuff is tough for me to play which is probably why I have been so stupid.

FYI I have spent all talent points in Demonology as the whole Demon thing seem to be the main thing for the Lock. I have suspected for a while that Affliction is really the hidden strength but to be honest I can't stand that type of magic. Love your work though.

I actually have recently just stumbled across that place but haven't fought there yet although I have seen some epic stuff you can get with honour points so I have been thinking about it.Would love to level with you, and also try and find out what I am missing with the Lock in terms of PvP.

They just seem to be slow attackers who wear down their opponents and in PvP I don't even get time to fire a shot. They are slow and powerful, as opposed to hit and bang like most other characters which is handy when taking on groups of opponents but I at least seem to struggle one on one.

If a Warrior runs to me and starts hitting me there is not much I can do because the Demon is ignored and hits with minimal damage, and my attack spells don't do the damage quickly that other chars can deliver.

Awesome character and wouldn't change it, but they are hard as a single entity. Even had level 80's run me through Dungeons and only Locks don't kill all targets straight away like all other 80's do.

In terms of PvP not at all. At my level I just get creamed bu level 50's or above because I can't find anyone my level who will Duel me.

Being a Lock they seem to be the worst for PvP but awesome in groups... Doing Dungeons with people my level I seem to kick their arse, but in PvP (only had a few Duels really) I struggle.

My gear is awesome but I don't seem to have the tactical capability for PvP as I have talented Demonology the whole time and my Demon becomes irrelevant in PvP ...

Got good gear but struggling with the whole level grind thing. AoC didn't make me feel like this but the game also didn't have anywhere near the atmosphere.

Was a huge AoC fan, but understand why many prefer WoW.

Once I hit level 40 there is a guild that I might join ...

Have met a really cool guy on there who has helped me heaps. He is a level 80 pally as well. He has given me about 50 gold and all my good gear. Wants tank leggings and shoulders so if you have a spare item that fits that bill could you give it to me and i might be able to swap it for a tank item you need.

Tried to avoid doing any quests, but did a couple just hanging to get some money. Mostly leveled up and bought stuff ... Have some cash for you too, before we go and do all the Goldshire quests

i should be sleeping as I have to take my dog to the vet tomorrow, but I can't (am too worried) Shes the best mate. 4 and a half month Golden Lab / Border Collie. Not sure how much you know about dogs, but Border Collies are the smartest dogs on the planet and when you combine that with the beautiful nature of the Border Collie and of course the Lab, it's hard to describe how special she is. They are X-raying her tomorrow for suspected shoulder cartilage damage. If it is what we think, then she will be having surgery tomorrow. She is tough, but she is so active that it is gonna be hard trying to keep her off her feet for a while. Anyway wish her luck for me...
