Great to see them fight back and snatch the win. Umpiring was awful yeah, but it shouldn't have been a factor, we were 4.7 at 1qt time.

If that was 9.2, game over. Accuracy has to be solved, its killing us.

We're not making finals if we're relying on Fyfe (31yo this yr) six years into a total rebuild. Cerra leaving was a body blow, we have to fast-track Erasmus and Johnson (when fit)

I'm totally numb after that game. Meek killed it in the first quarter and a half, then faded whilst still giving everything. Their coach gives us the their game plan at half time, they execute to it - ie get front and center and the goals just started coming, our mids struggled to adapt to not winning the center square, our sheer will got us over the line - I want to see a system get us out in front. Our backline lacks balance. We have no small forward negating backmen - teams will see this. Chappy and Luke are not suited to the smalls. We need to expect two smalls a game that can hurt us - so B Walker must come in. No idea who to take out. V Good to win, but gees we need to win on our terms - whatever they are....

Just watched it on Kayo. At the end of the 3rd I was despondent but have no idea how Adelaide stopped what made them grab the lead, maybe cooked themselves running so hard. Anyway….

Agree on Walker talk, play the small defensive mid. Logue is not that person and Clark / young you don’t want that deep

Which means Chappy to come up higher to wing.. which I’m all for - Henry out

Walters is in trouble if they want to fast track Erasmus

Noddy also to be a chance as the defensive wing spot is up for grabs

Henry, Walters, banfield, Ryan, Cox - all disappointing for me today

Wow. Chapman with probably the smartest play I have seen all from a guy in his 8th? game.

Banfield should never play for us again.

They made some really good changes. I didn't think Longmuir made adjustments when he could have. Chapman was the wrong match up for Rachele and Rowe got too many possessions for a high half forward and although it all stemmed from the middle, I think their coached moved players around like Milera and Smith to better effect. Sholl came on as a sub and got 23 possession adding to their efficiency in moving the ball (played really well against us last year too so I'm glad he didn't start). Dawson going back gave them exits out of defence with his kicking.

Those two out on the full kicks from the Crows in the last minute were game savers - it was like they suddenly reverted to their kicking in the 1st half that gave us so many intercepts - but I thought defensively we were set up well.

We had a handful of players who bobbed up and will appear on the game highlights and in a 1 pt game all those moments are valuable, but they will need to stringing together longer periods of good football to keep their spot.

One good thing was our transition play, which looked so slick and only marred by poor conversion. A worrying thing was when we were on top in the first half they stayed in the game by getting goals from clean clearances straight out of centre stoppages.

Thought Keays and Rachele were the best 2 on the ground.

Grateful for the win.

I think it is form, he had a good pre-season and didn't have his infamous muffin top this year. He looked fit in pre-season pics at least.

Just dropping by to say well done. You guys deserved the win and really let us off the hook in the first half. Glad we made a real game of it after half time but wow..chapman on the line with 10 seconds left...fantastic effort to not only stop what would have bee a winning goal but deny any score to preserve the 4 points and avoid a draw.

Good luck for the rest of the year, 2 promising young sides and hoping we get to play you in finals in the years to come

I really don't understand this rule. It seems like half the time the boundary line is a sanctuary and the other half they act like it doesn't exist and ping you for HTB as if it wasn't there. No prizes for guessing which way the interpretation went for us today.

If the AFL claims to have even a modicum of respectability and professionalism, they should be immediately reviewing each and every umpiring decision within that match, and proceeding to promptly fire the offenders!
