Even the 'light work' comment is being overblown by here. The boys were exhausted and were nearly overrun at the end of the game. No one would seriously think they were publicly calling the Saints light work.
The media are - as usual - looking for anything they can twist to defame the club.

This has been going on since the Trealor farce.

The general footy public loves this sh@t so getting upset or buying into it is just plain dumb.

A persnickety and trivial headline grab from Cornes once again, who -like his father- seems to have no problem debasing himself in the name of media celebrity and a divisive role on television.

Ginnivan is a young man at the very start of his career, given a go-pro in a moment of excitement, even elation and you want to have a crack at him for being overly-joyous after a great win -at the very start of the season.

Having said that, he will learn not to repeat comments such as 'light work' and 'first of many', and he will get plenty of sledging in the coming weeks, but that's all part of the game.

Question; what makes for better television, Ginny's performance or Cornes?

Very ordinary individual is Kane Cornes, lacks the intelligence to be a proper thinker and commentator on our great game and instead makes a living off young players new to the AFL by criticizing them, -its something akin to sports media's version of trashy tabloid press!

Sorry Cornes is gutter press, the absolute lowest garbage media that gets used for butt wiping when you run out of toilet paper.

And that use is praising it up.

Some people are getting a bit precious about what he said not me I am quite happy with how he conducts himself and I think he is probably our most reliable shot on goal in the team. We have some good youngsters coming through and he will give the fans as much pleasure as all of them.

Spot on, and was great he had the confidence to go back and mail the shot at a crucial time.
Nothing to see here folks, hopefully the next cult forward for us

I cannot stand Cornes.

Underused word 'persnickety', well done!

Maybe Cornes is secretly drawing up contracts for Dr King Schultz under the name Tuttle!

I do not think Ginnivan lacks confidence quite the opposite in fact and there is nothing wrong with that, you have to have self belief otherwise what,s the point.
Take that 1st goal of his how many 19 year old with less than 10 games experience would even attempt that not many I think, he is probably the most reliable kick for goal we have and he will only get better with games played.
Jack is 19 and if he cannot strut his stuff now then when in the future, just let him be himself I am certain we will be very pleased we drafted him.

Might be something they do in the Inner Circle/Playing Group Does

That why he works for Hutchy?

Mcrae is ticking so many boxes. Love his approach so far

He’s slapped Cornes down in the most dismissive of ways. It’s absolute gold. Yes we do need to enjoy our victories. They will make the losses burn lot more because they will want that winning feeling. If you’re not allowed to enjoy your wins what’s the point in winning?

I can't quite believe how this is a story, nitpicking at its finest. I love the way Jack goes about it, long may it continue!
Agree, leave the kid alone. Let him be himself. Hope it will continue.

Strap in folks, today is the type of day the snag monster kicks 3 or 4 and maybe flips cornsey the bird!! Go get ‘em son!!
