Some people are getting a bit precious about what he said not me I am quite happy with how he conducts himself and I think he is probably our most reliable shot on goal in the team. We have some good youngsters coming through and he will give the fans as much pleasure as all of them.

One of the commentators, probably Brian Taylor, said on the commentary that Giinivan enjoys looking at himself on the screen. Maybe he is narcissistic or is thriving on his new found celebrity, or just simply trying to milk enjoyment from every moment of his AFL experience.

I don't have a problem with the guy exuding a bit of personality on the field, even if he appears arrogant or up himself or whatever, so long as he plays for Collingwood. Akermanis, Brereton, Capper and now Toby Greene annoy me and I am sure get under the skin of their opponents, but they're all great players capable of helping win premierships.

I buy the line that the videoing was a club rather than personal decision.
IF you played for your Club you would Love Them but IF they are the Opponent you Hate Them

I love it that Ginnivan's thought process is goals first and he has the skills to execute. Being hungry and confident in your skills are underrated qualities in a forward.

Is this the same Kane Cornes that gave Brodie Holland a middle finger salute after the siren.
Because it is Collingwood and it sells trying to drum up a nothing story move on.

Of course he's trying to drum up a story, but he's not being inconsistent. It's the same bloke who said this year's later about that incident:

The gesture came in just Cornes’ 11th game – he admitted he was “far too confident for someone who’d done nothing in the game" – and moments after the Power had snatched a thrilling five-point win over Collingwood.

Maybe Jack Ginnivan can write a similar article in ten years time like Kane.
Nothing in it anything Collingwood sells.

Years later being the operative words.

I registered it on the night and didn’t give it a second thought because it was pretty obvious the media guys handed the go pro to Ginnivan to get footage and if it wasn’t Ginnivan it probably would have been Grundy or Moore. Pre-Covid I’d have agreed with Cornes that the group needs to pull their heads in, but the landscapes shifted on engagement so it’s one of the weaker VolKano takes I’ve heard. We need media people like him though and in general I like his views this one just missed the mark.

The only concern is whether or not he's someone who will respond positively to the extra attention. He comes across as someone who will and the club must think so too or they wouldn't have got him to film himself.

I don’t know about the context for the “light work” comment, but that would concern me moreso than whatever he’s doing with the GoPro.

He’s a lad it won’t effect him in the slightest, but the problem is if he goes off the boil the media and anyone that has Cornes’ back will blame it on this.

Love that he's arrogant and he's got a little swagger.

If he's pissing Kane Cornes off I'd imagine he's going to really get under his opponents skin.

The one thing our young boys need this year is the freedom to express themselves and not feel shackled.

Hard to tell. I don't think too many would have tipped Faz to lose confidence in that beautiful kick of his or suffer mental health issues.
I think it’s best to steer clear of the mental health discussion in this case.

I do not think Ginnivan lacks confidence quite the opposite in fact and there is nothing wrong with that, you have to have self belief otherwise what,s the point.
Take that 1st goal of his how many 19 year old with less than 10 games experience would even attempt that not many I think, he is probably the most reliable kick for goal we have and he will only get better with games played.
Jack is 19 and if he cannot strut his stuff now then when in the future, just let him be himself I am certain we will be very pleased we drafted him.
