They probably hired a 60 year old who plays Donkey Kong on a Nintendo to write the code.

There’s just so many steps from start to finish. I had to ring Medicare and recite a bunch of details from my birth certificate in order to receive a linking code, with which to attach to my Medicare account to my existing MyGov and then went through the rigmarole of linking apps and such.

I’ve had to do it for numerous family members, so heaven help those who are running into SNAFU errors or don’t have more tech-savvy/patient kids/partners/etc.

I went through the bunch of steps and on the last one was punted to the Google Play Store. This has happened half a dozen times. The comments page for the app suggests I'm not the only one who is consistently foiled in this way.

I have been trying for months to link the SA gov app to my vaccination certificate. What a useless piece of technology that is.

They can make do with checking a screenshot of my vacc certificate.
I’ve not had any issues with it. I even linked it with my State Election details, which turned out to be handy as I forgot to take the card they sent me.
Might have something to do with the fact that I had to go through a lot of the rigmarole a few years ago in relation to setting up an ATO app I needed for work.

Moving to digital ticketing seems like a fairly sensible move to me, however, i'm confused as to what the point of the lanyard is in the membership pack now?

It is, but they need to tell people so BEFORE memberships are sold. Not when a game is coming up as it's a total ball ache.

i can't go this weekend so i haven't even bothered to try it yet, but is it actually a difficult task getting a mobile ticket added to your phone?

It's a lot more difficult than just leaving your card in your wallet and turning up on the day and people having their own cards to take, or stocarding.

You also have to log in, go through a couple of screens etc. every game. If you are the main account holder for several memberships you then have to screenshot and send the tickets out or send them via the app.

I had the same issues but could add it to google pay pretty easily.

My set up is as follows:
One ticketmaster account, with all three platinum tickets administered under that account.
Each ticket is in a different name, one for me and one each for my sons.
So far so good...

I then go to 'forward' my eldest sons ticket to him for Saturday night's game and it appears that he needs to set up his own ticketmaster account to receive it. Is this correct?

I thought all they required was the PAFC app set up on their phone.

If this is correct, when we eventually have five tickets (daughter and wife are keen to attend some games) this will mean we need five separate ticketmaster accounts just to share game tickets within the same family.

As the poor sod who has to manage it all, I'm not really happy about that.
Will stick to scanning each person in on my phone until I can work this out.

Hey Bomber

Same with me and my son

Yes, he had to set up an account

Once this was done it all worked perfectly

Digital Ticket available on his phone and a text from the club confirming the transfer was successful

piece of piss

Mobile ticketing is the way to go. Have been using it for heaps of music gigs and other sporting events for ages anyway

At least i wont need to wear that stupid lanyard all the time now
You know you had the option to not wear a lanyard with a physical membership card, right?
