Eagles have managed to reach a level of incompetence where you can reasonably compare them to North or Neeld era Melbourne, and they have like 6 former AAs playing each week, most of them not that old. And how are they worse at home than away? I know they had a covid outbreak at the start of the season, does their entire list have long covid?

Were already heading off a cliff, then injuries hit really hard. Nic Nat and Oscar Allen hugely missed.

Holy crap that's even worse than Melbourne's injury list!

And another mystery: how is Jackson Nelson on an AFL list, let alone close to 100 games? He is not close to AFL standard in any aspect of football.

Just to prove how things can change rapidly in this wacky world of AFL, this was my first post of the game Melb v Freo:
This Melbourne team is simply awesome. They are making a good team in Freo look hopeless.
and here is my post near the end of the game:
Freo have been absolutely magnificent since half time. Great pressure and team performance.
Sometimes, it's better to reserve judgement!

Would love a prime time game with North vs West coast.
Kennedy would kick 10 goals, and if North rucked Goldstein he'd break the all time hit out record.

Probably a fitting way for both to bow out, because given their respective teams and their own individual form, neither of them are ever hitting the heights of their career peaks again against any other team.

Two opposition players I really rate for their consistency over the past decade, sadly will also both bow out at the end of the season playing for 2 of the worst-performing teams from the past decade.
