Fulltime umpires wouldn’t make any difference…
They aren’t going to be any better decision makers or bounce better by being full time.

That Collins htb was rubbish and he didn’t even have the ball.. especially after the missed Collingwood htbs in the same passage of millers legs being taken out from him.

North really fighting hard in the 2nd half

Geelong 13.10
Norf 1.1

Just ducking fold you campaigners

To be fair they were down to two on the bench about 5 mins into the second quarter..
They were at least competitive for a quarter down there.. ten mins in we are normally sitting on the bus

No doubt Collingwood fans will find this and make a big song and dance because Ginnivan. This has nothing to do with him being a laughably relentless cheat and everything to do with that being a shocking non call.

For decades, that was brave and ridiculously tough footy. I have no issue with it being adjudicated that way if that’s what we’re doing. You almost have to take Ginnivan’s head off, uh, hat off because it’s excellent commitment to the contest. But how can you bring in a sliding in below the knees rule, based on choosing to go to ground, and then not pay that?

I honestly have no issue if it’s not a free but can we then just scrap the rule as its clearly not working? It was brought in for player safety and that’s a leg breaker waiting to happen, because one player voluntarily went to ground while the other player kept his feet and gained possession of the football.

Worst part is it isn’t remotely the harshest call the Suns copped in the run home.

17th suits me given the current situation.
We aren't even going to threaten finals. I don't want a spoon.
I can't see us getting the three games extra (2 + %) needed to get to 16th, so it's become pretty much a 17th lock.

That gives us pick 4.
Norf pick 1. (Wardlaw?)
Norf priority pick 2 take 1 - Ashcroft to Bne,
Norf pick 2 take 2. (Busslinger?)
WCE pick 4.
North is not getting pick 2 as a priority pick when we have a % in the 50s (so have also had a shocking year). People give Nisbett shit but his connections would prevent that kind of blatant disregard for our situation.

They will probably get an end of first round (which they must trade), priority access to state league players to rookie and some AFL appointed administrators to fix their off-field shambles.

Or, the AFL commission gives them nothing, which signals they plan for them to die off and Tassie to take their place.
