Good decision but it won't really affect us, we all know already they are going to schedule us to play Sunday afternoon. The Age reporting no floating fixtures for first 15 rounds in season 2023.
‘We have listened’: AFL ditches floating fixture for start of 2023
The AFL says it has listened to fans staying away from the footy and will abandon the maligned floating fixture for the first 15 rounds of the 2023 season.www.theage.com.au
And Brisbane at the Gabba. And we'll play Ess at Optus in Winter on a Thurs/Fri night
On SM-G925I using BigFooty.com mobile app
Seeing as they're moving Fridays to 5/5.20, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a few of those 6.40 Fridays like the Essendon gameGood decision but it won't really affect us, we all know already they are going to schedule us to play Sunday afternoon.
And Melbourne at Optus or the NT (but not the MCG)And Brisbane at the Gabba.
That timeslot was awesome. No need to rush from work and plenty of time for some drinks before the gameSeeing as they're moving Fridays to 5/5.20, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a few of those 6.40 Fridays like the Essendon game
And nothern tasmania kangaroos at hobart. And Brisbane at the Gabba.
A few tidbits according to Caro:
-Adam Simpson doesn't want to break his contract and go to Norf
-Clarko doesn't want a bar of them
-Norf likely to get a priority pick
-Norf moving Souf to Tasmania not wanted by either party
Another interesting thing is they don't want to give them soft cap relief for sacking their coach. I agree with the sentiment of keeping them accountable, but it probably means they have to get someone on the cheap, which starts the cycle all over again.

Clarkson apparently doesn't want a bar of them.Noble wasn’t on a fixed term contract so any payout won’t be significant
Not giving them soft cap relief would impact their ability to throw money at Clarkson
I firmly believe the AFL learned from the Fitzroy issue and are letting North come to its own demise.

No interference just let the club go peacefully from their perspective as they are probably shedding interest from their rusted on supporters year by year and it will get to a tipping point where the supporters that by multiple memberships to keep the club afloat cant see the value in it.
If the AFL was serious they should've been apart of the coaching appointment (Roos at Melb style) after the Shaw situation.
North are debt free, without pokies. They are miles off their own demise.
North also got Roos involved, he helped pick Noble and has been sunning himself on a beach on their money.
I was surprised to hear Caro say that McLachlin had been trying to get North and Tassie to do a deal. Maybe it's common knowledge and I just haven't been paying attention, but this is what I expect of him.I firmly believe the AFL learned from the Fitzroy issue and are letting North come to its own demise.

Cut the tassie revenue out and they would lose hundreds of thousands a year, with no obvious new market to grow revenue.Yeah I understand the debt free side of them. But I cant see any growth and a hell of a lot shrinking fan base wise over the next few years if someone doesn't step in. Also how much of debt free is due to the Tassie deal? They got Roos involved but he didnt take the reins and looking like the person he helped pick is going to get the arse real soon. Im talking about someone like Roos taking on that job knowing full well they are going to be moved on but its their job to provide stability as a proven coach and make it a situation a rookie coach can take over.
To me it just feels like they are pushing s**t up hill and people at AFL house are waiting for the inevitable.
AS Keys says above I believe Carro doing their work in that article.
We will see if they are serious about saving North.
