Epic brain fart tonight. I need to buy a new microwave now

Had a lot going on, juggling dinner, the children, tunes on, beer cracked, and I accidentally turned the microwave on instead of putting on the kitchen timer function built into the microwave.

Took less than 10 minutes for the glass microwave dish thing to explode and the entire unit to overheat and lose power. Now operating again but I think I'll turf it for a new one. Can't have been good for it.

At least the damage was contained to within the microwave. This thing has been holding on by a thread anyway. Not particularly old, but when I bought it 7-8 years ago I chucked it up on this kitchen shelf which had some dodgy bracket anchors. The whole shelf and brackets ripped out of the wall and the microwave bounced off the kitchen bench and ended up on the tiled floor haha.

Managed to put it back together and it's been going ever since but with a bent fascia and maybe some other damage. Will spend my evening searching for a Sunday bargain!

Daughter and her partner took us out to a pretty hard to get to spot.

Really good. Place called George’s Gorge about 100kms out of Karratha

Caught one Red claw crayfish which is a type of northwest marron in a bucket. Could have got a heap if we’d planned for it and had a proper trap or even just a scoop net.
