If North have offered 5 years as resported to Clarko what the hell would Essendon have to offer him compareable?
And if the Dons do get him and it doesn't pan out or they go backwards are they going to sack him after 1-2 years like everyone else?

I'd argue Essendon are a worse run club than the Kangaroos.

Not sure you have to argue that. It's a statement of fact!

With Richmond getting their s**t together in the last 5 years it's nice that Essendon have stepped up to help fill the utter basket case void.

I'm still yet to witness The Big 4 be the big 4 of anything at the same time; Richmond were a running joke from the mid 80s until mid 2010s, Carlton have more spoons than a soup kitchen in the past 20 years and Essendon - who you thought couldn't get any lower than their drugs scandal - are about to hit rock bottom yet again. Pies have done okay, but that's mainly on the back of a certain megalomaniac.

Stability, I think would be the answer. Essendon may be a basket case right now but they are a considerably safer bet.

The North to Tassie link just won’t die, they have a considerable battle to keep afloat each year with none of the high profile benefits the big 4 get. Essendon on the other hand with their record membership numbers won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the minute that Barham has come on as president the call for the external review has come and Clarko is officially linked to the club. I am sure that this has been talked about for several weeks and an external review is something Clarko has asked for as a pre-requisite. He will come to a club with a full awareness of what it needs, and Clarko can drive that.

Rutten I suspect coaches this week but that will be it regardless of the result.

Essendons one of the big 4 prictorian clubs, according to slobbo and that w***er Wheatley that's a far more attractive option!

Colour me shocked that it's all teams in finals contention that avoided testing their players.

They either avoided or faked tests (or both in some cases). At worst, just forgot to do them.

And the AFL day the integrity of the competition isn't compromised. We were basically absent for the first half of the year (lol Collingwood), quite a lot due to COVID.

Clearly we were compliant. But 5 clubs who are in the finals were not. It is very much an integrity issue.

Aren't you all going to be jealous when I buy up every Luke Shuey one
