As mentioned previously, I'd be inclined to think it's his manager going for the cash grab, and I guess that's his job to do so, otherwise he ain't doing his job. Bailey has had a pretty good year by his accounts, and certainly been 1 of not many improvers over whatever period of time. And tb more than fair he has played some pretty reasonable footy, again, as previously mentioned. If his manager snares him a golden goose, well, well played. He's no Peter Matera, not yet. Have faith young Jedis.
