In 2019? 4th

What happened in 2021? 17th and guess what happened, the coach got sacked, because that wasn't a 17th list, that was a finals list

Who do they have running around? Experienced, finals players like Pendlebury, Moore, Howe, Sidebottom, Adams, Crisp, Maynard, Elliott, Mihocek, De Goey

That wasn't a young team that beat us, nor was it a young team this whole season.

It's actually commonsense not to buy into the hype

In fact it’s a joke they only managed to scrape by that close winning streak through flukes. They should have been top four the last 4 years. Our lads did extremely well this season based on trajectory, age and experience. Future is very bright indeed.

If you’d have told me how this season would have panned out in preseason, I’d have grabbed it with both hands. Most on here had us not even making finals, or maybe scraping into 8.

Great experience to show what needs to be done and enough success to give us the hunger to drive preseason.

I saw David Mundy at a grocery store in Applecross yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

It's brilliant, isn't it? So much more to it the "we supported him during his dark times, we should expect the same back" way of thinking by WC and (some of) their fans. He won't be the first to request a trade away over the next couple of years, unless something drastic happens from top to bottom. I've had a popcorn machine going constantly since R1 this year for everytime I visit BF

The West Coast Eagles are bitterly disappointed that Junior Rioli has today informed the club that he is seeking a trade to Port Adelaide.
Rioli was drafted to the Eagles in 2016 and was a member of the 2018 premiership team. He resumed this season after a two-year ban for substituting a urine sample ahead of the 2019 finals campaign.
He missed the next two years as a result of a doping ban.
“We could not have done any more to support Junior since his infraction in 2019,” CEO Trevor Nisbett said. “We facilitated his appeal and subsequent return to football, so this decision is bitterly disappointing."
“We will put that disappointment to one side now and work to arrange a suitable trade for a player who has high end talent, is a premiership player and is in the prime of his career, having played just 51 games of senior football.
“Junior has made his decision and while he has indicated Port is his preferred destination we will work to get the best outcome for our club.”

No chance. Port would want a first rounder for Georgiades and rightly so.

Pick 2 is too much but I doubt West Coast’s other picks (apart from their F1) and Rioli gets them anywhere close. It’d be a big call to trade either pick 2 or their F1 in any capacity.

I’d rate Georgiades around pick 10-15 in contract tbh.

I don’t see the point of the mrp going over footage, handing out a punishment, the club challenging it and then the tribunal throwing the case out. It seems like a massive waste of time, resources and looks to just make everyone look busy or productive when there’s not much else to really report on in terms of potential suspensions or fines

System is broken. The governing body and the league need to sperare properly, it just seems like they exist to serve each other’s purposes, rather than actually look at things more subjectively and help the game grow and not stagnate
