Dunkley wants to live in QLD. Will make zero difference who the coach is.
Plenty of stylists up there (along with vapid, image conscious airheads).
He'll love it.

It's the unbeatable culture up there which does it for Josh. Under a potentially non existent head coach, and captain Dane Zorko.
So, what would everyone think if Dunkley changed his mind and wanted to stay?
If trueNot sure how any human being can get to the point of where Fagan and Clarko did.
He made his choiceSo, what would everyone think if Dunkley changed his mind and wanted to stay?
Can you imagine that Fagan quits and suddenly lions aren't that into Dunks anymore or vice versa. All things aside, the thought of Dunks having to go to a club in turmoil looking for a new coach is admittedly very funny
No current season stats available
I would have him back. Too good a player to just give away. Worth the effort that would be required to mend the differences. So, what would everyone think if Dunkley changed his mind and wanted to stay?
Yes that was good to hear re Whateleys podcast show, 100% need similar compensation as the Neale trade. It’s been good over the last day or so that some reasonable people in the media have assessed Dunkley’s trade value beyond the “he’s worth 1 1st rounder”.
Gerard Whateley compared him to Neale when he left Freo. It might sound crazy but when you compare their age, stats and what Neale had achieved up until that stage of his career, it’s actually comparable.
That trade was:
Neale and 30 for
6,19,55
Cal Twomey also saying he is worth more than 1 x 1st rounder. He suggested we’ll get pick 15 this year, the Lions can try and work their McStay compo up to pick 20 and give that to us. They will then get points for Ashcroft etc by splitting their 2023 1st rounder for a heap of mid range picks this year.
id actually forgotten how bad Dunkley was post shoulder in 2021The story is simple. Essendon offered him way too much money, so he tried to get there.
He had to sheepishly walk back into the club that he tried to shaft, and the simple fact is that he probably wasn't fully accepted back into the fold. Partly because the players hated what he did, coupled with the fact that he is a weird unit.
He latches on to Treloar because, who else is there? He said they bonded on common ground, but there was nothing common about their situation. One tried to shaft his club, and the other was completely shafted by his former team.
He spends half a season out with a shoulder and, because Bevo didn't want to hurt his feelings, was brought straight back into the team after recovering, to the absolute detriment of the team.
The club proceeds to have back-to back-to back finals wins on the road, absolutely unprecedented in the comp's history (so unprofessional) and the club plays off in the grand final, the 4th ever in their history. Meanwhile, Dunkley is nothing more than a passenger throughout almost the entire finals series, popping up for the occasional spoil or tackle.
He was absolutely carried to a premiership in his first year. Meanwhile, great clubmen like Mitch Wallis, Robert Murphy, and my boy Lin Jong, sit and watch this guy claim his premiership medallion, something he'd sell for a few bucks.
As for culture, every single other important player that was out of contract this year has re-signed. Clubs have down years. This guy is just money hungry. He is going to sign a long term deal with a club that's going to be playing out of makeshift rooms and random home grounds in a couple of years. Who cares, money. I just wonder who he is going to get free haircuts from now?

I am just an advocate for hearing from both sides that is all.Russell Jackson is an excellent journo
Why do you doubt the report?
The Christian Howard draft was the last draft we had a part-time recruiter for.I would have him back. Too good a player to just give away. Worth the effort that would be required to mend the differences.
I agree with what others are saying about the opportunity his departure would present to balance the list - but I am a believer in the “ bird in the hand” thinking.
But you only improve the list if the guys you bring in are better than what you lose.
In summary, get two early draft picks and
- bring in two “Bonts” - very good
- bring in two Christian Howards- disaster
Bird in the hand.
For $600k, no thanks.Whilst I understand it’s a very serious topic and very sensitive, am I still allowed to ask, that if Logue doesn’t go to north now, should we enter the race? Or is it too early?
I think I agree with a few on here that this is an opportunity to get bulk top end talent through the door.Whilst I understand it’s a very serious topic and very sensitive, am I still allowed to ask, that if Logue doesn’t go to north now, should we enter the race? Or is it too early?
I just unsubscribed from their YouTube channel. That should show him!OUT: On and Off pod.
Without considering that we lose badly. But no more Pod balances out the overall position to a break even.
