Williams/Baker/Poulter/Scott etc is a pretty terrible wing rotation at present. Would make a lot of sense to put a high upside mid there for a year or two rather than stick them in the forward line.

Still slightly awkward because our midfield is getting old and slow but unless someone gets a bad injury we’re still waiting on Libba or Treloar to bow out. We’ve already shifted Macrae out to accommodate Caleb and West should eventually get a role there. Not to mention Baz.
Yeah it’s shocking, in a real important position in the modern game too.

Williams I like, I think he will play the role well and be pretty dependable in a solid team. The other wing needs pace though, I’m pretty confident Bedendo steps up there next year if he’s fit.

Williams, Bedendo, Henry, Hollands would be a fair upgrade on the 4 listed above if we could get Henry & Hollands for a reasonable price. There’s a bit of everything in that mix, pace, skill, height/marking ability.

If we can trade up to get a gun mid, nab Henry, find an older back up style replacement for Sweet, reset our coaches box, I’ll be one happy member.

Cal Twomey has mentioned on Gettable that we are still interested Kai Lohmann.
We asked about him during the Dunkley negotiations.
St Kilda has his brother at Sandi so it would be competitive to lure him to us

And if any of you nuffs boo him for doing so I hope you burn your bottom lip on your pie.

Dreaming I reckon. If we make finals our first and Brisbane's first isn't even enough for pick 4. They'll want a second and then some
I assume he was talking about Hollands, who seems to have lost a fair bit after his ACL

I'm not trying to get pick 4 for a 3rd rounder, thats a deal they'd only do for Geelong.

James Jordan has a solidly price 3 year deal from Bombers waiting for him

Wants to remain at Melbourne and will wait till the last min to look at other options

"Hollands has been hands down the most disappointing suns player this year.

Looked confident when he get games at the end of last year. 9 scoring shots in 5 games. Bustling play along the wing.
Thought he was in for a big year.

This season, looks a completely different player. Playing like he’s got chronic fatigue.. so lethargic. Turning circle like a ruckman. Gets pushed off the ball far too easily. Missing simple chip kicks. Haven’t seen him take an overhead mark all year.
Good long distance runner and has been amongst top distance covered in some games. Just playing with zero explosion. Awkward running gait.

I didn’t watch his junior years so don’t really know what he was like.. on viewable evidence this year, don’t get what made him a highly rated player.
Had good games in the VFL. But also had stinkers. Averaged 14 possessions across a 4 game patch in the VFL where he does play wing/midfield and the suns win most games by 40+.

Questions about his maturity from those with club links.

I’m not sure trading him really ‘frees up cap space’ as has been mentioned at times on the thread. Just wonder if club is happy to get something decent in return and move on. He doesn’t seem to be thriving. Not sure why"

Suns fan opinion on Hollands. "Slow, misses chip kicks, no explosion in pace, gets pushed off the ball to easily". Sounds like most of the Bulldogs team, so makes me nervous. Personally I'd hope we'd be able to improve him and unlock any potential. I'm good taking the punt if a free hit from a trade moving up, or a later pick. But wouldn't be knocking down the house to get him.

I'm a big fan of Hollands and reckon he could still come good

This is his second full year playing footy after his injuries

I reckon he could become that brute forward role for us

He def was heavy stacked player enter his draft year, which didn't help recovering from an ACL injury
So wouldn't be shocked in the right football training environment, he could unlock his true potential

Thank god for that,

Saw him live against the Tigers the other week more of what we have slow can't kick and shocking set shot

Yeah was talking about the collective trade if we want pick 4 and Hollands
I didn't know that sorry I misread.
I think they'd want to deal Hollands separately to any trade for pick 4 so that they could get max value. At this stage it looks like he is going to Stk.

If we did trade for pick 4 with or without Hollands it'd cost something like 17, 36 and our future first.
Gives them enough points to cover bids and another early pick next year, only way we'd beat out other team for that pick.
