They're called "crumple zones" and yes I am familiar with them :) The point was it looks worse than what I would associate with a fender bender and the impact would've still caused some sort of shock/sudden movement.
Bingo. My old man had an accident in a 1973 Falcon, a tool box in the boot put a hole in the rear seat, snapped the front bench seat.
Head on, car rear ended another car into Dad on his side of the road.
He has never been the same, lifelong back and spine injuries. He crumpled big time.

Also, drug and alcohol tests are just part of the procedure, don't read anything in to it, unless there is a positive test.

Reminds me of a roided up Dale Thomas.

Would love to see him work on his tank in the offseason, pushing up the ground more and turn from a 10 possession player to a 20 possession player. Would free up Hill and Ginnivan.

Do you think this is the aim ? To move him into another position and rotate him with Hil ? To give dash up forward and through the midfield?

Was trying to get my head around what positiong Beau moves to with Hill coming in. Defintely room for both. Watched Hills highlights and his speed is electric also

Seems ironic that we have spent years trying to turn offensive forwards into defensive ones but now we have an expert at it we want him to develop in the other direction. All fine as long as its not the expense of his defense side as what I have seen (not much through the screen) doesn't indicate a great offense skill set. I like the build tank, midfield idea - may be a run with or tagging role would suit?

Except Thomas’ hands were beyond elite and Beau’s not so much.

Can we maybe not bump player threads during the trade period? Heart attack city population me!
Same vein as Collingwood socials posting an "announcement" with Pendlebury as the image. Always makes my paranoid brain jump to thoughts of retirement

Dale Thomas around 2011 was the roided up Mcreery. Unbelievable pressure but also got 30 touches himself and kicked some goals.

That's the next step Beau needs to take if he wants to become an A grader.

Your post reminded me of this from Ross Lyon in 2011:

"I've been admiring Thomas's work from afar for a while now," Lyon told radio station SEN today.

"(Yesterday) I turned - I was sitting next to (St Kilda assistant coach) Rob Harvey - and I said, 'Gee, is he the best player in the competition at the minute?' He's been outstanding.
"Everyone talks about (Brendon) Goddard's finals, but what Thomas did in the finals and the grand finals ...
"What he does without the ball - I was there (when Collingwood played) against Adelaide, and he really turned that thing around with his fanatical chasing.
"He covers that much territory, he's almost the best player in the competition, he's unbelievable.
"I really admire him not only what he can do with the ball - you saw his left-foot snap (against the Eagles) - but he'll run from the forward pocket to the back pocket to spoil a ball and get in the way and he chases down, he's really inspirational to watch."

Can't disagree with your view on Thomas. He was a #2 pick and Beau #44. If Beau gets anywhere those numbers he will be the draft steal of the decade.

I'd really rather that Beau didn't have friends, but I'm not sure it can be avoided.

But surely we can intervene when it comes to double dating? Nothing good comes from couples hanging out together. They sit around contemplating real estate and soft furnishings.

It is well known that colour and fabric samples emasculate the most beastly of men. By 2024, he'll be a useless husk.

Also, I think that the bloke with freckles and cap is Murph. No curls = no McCreery.

Like a wild tiger being introduced to other tigers. It needs to be done slowly and one at a time. 😂
