They finish with Hawks and Sydney. They've had an incredibly bad season, and we've shown improvement, and yet they'll almost certainly finish a win and a half above us.

Yup, I will be straight up calling foul if Freo lose to either of the Hawks or Swans.... I will spit it. I hope they win both and we have a mood lifting upset over the doggies. Also leaning towards Shroj over Henry now as a prospective draftee... Our only real speedster is Western and by gosh alot of teams seem to just blow past us through the middle.
Freo will beat both Sydney and Hawks

Not super sure about Hawks - they will probably get it done but it’s not as
cut and dry as one might think.
But they’ll knock Sydney off easily
We will get two of the top 3 talents at the best draft.
It’s the drafting scenario that’s interesting- “mini draft” in Dec or Jan - I’ve been told 10-15 players will be drafted between the two clubs

Sydney only just lost to Essendon, they must be a very good chance at knocking off Freo next round? Hawks no pushovers either.

Anyone been keeping an eye on how Niamh is going? I haven't spotted her in a game this season, although I don't really make a point of paying too much attention to the games we aren't playing in, even if they're on in the background.

Essendon player hits the goal post as it passes so you can kinda see why the ump was confused. Takes it down to a 9.8/10 howler for mine.
Also Sydney lost by a kick and it would've been their first ever win so at least it wasn't hugely impactful

So we are looking at an overage draft between this and next season.
So the Cleaver Cup is being delayed a year and we will top up with some older depth players. That makes our cull this yera very light. At this stage, Emily Bennett is clearly not up to AFL standard and that is about the extent of list management.
What will happen in 2023 when the WAFLW season starts? The very best thing our younger squad members need is experience. Are we having anothe delayed start to the year? If so, can our players go to a WAFLW team and get games under their belt?
These donkeys at AFL House are piss poor at thinking ahead, hence the constant "make rules up no on the run" approach.

Between us, Freo and Port, we milked the WAFLW dry in the last draft. It's possible that some late developer deserves to get picked, but we'd need a new season to see who she is, and we're not going to get that.Get absolutely cactus.
