They’ve changed the Twitter and Insta logo to the Pride logo, but not the Facebook one.

Very interested to see if/when they do, and have a gander at the comments. Love a Facebook nuff meltdown.

“Celebrate Pride Round with your very own jumper!”… if you’re a woman. Super inclusive.

Bloody hell, even when they’re doing things right they still stuff it up.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's something contractual involved as part of the women's merhcandise rights, I don't believe any club has any men's AFLW gear.

Also very heteronormative of you Miguel to suggest smaller men couldn't still wear those jumpers, and that's not even starting on the disrespect towards anyone non binary in your post there. Shameful.

Do any other teams have a men's range from Cotton On?
No, seems to be no men’s items available essentially league wide, and no jumpers for sale.

Pretty frustrating given there’s a slim to none chance of them doing a men’s pride jumper.

Look as the owner of a B-cup (occasionally a C-cup) I’m very well aware that there is a variety of body shapes among all genders.

But the absence of standard men’s sizes is making me feel discriminated against. Why is it always the cis males that suffer?

Here's a question for people familiar with the next batch of girls coming through. What sort of player would you be willing to trade out our first pick for, assuming it'll end up being the #1 WA pick and pretty high up the draft order? For instance, would you consider a highly-rated prospect like Cleaver to be worth more than say Amy Franklin?

I'd 100% swap our first for Franklin and I've never watched Cleaver. She's a weapon and exactly the type we need. Like the way she plays. Not that I'm in the know with the next batch at all - am also curious about this question.

Another AFLW draft quirk related to this I'm curious about - let's say hypothetically we finish last, Freo finish top 4 and Geelong finish 6th. (Not gonna happen but for sake of argument).

In that scenario could we swap our overall pick 1 for Cats pick 12 and a player, with literally no detriment to us since the pick would still be ahead of Freo's first - Geelong get ahead of a heap of VIC sides and we get someone good for free. Assume there'd be rules blocking this sort of thing but just curious what they are - the lack of a national draft makes pick swaps an interesting issue.

Well first, Freo aren't going to give up Franklin for anyone short of Roberts, which isn't going to happen either. But having said that, Franklin vs Cleaver is interesting -- Franklin's an outside player, faster, not so great in contests but deadly given space. Cleaver isn't as quick, but she can make her own space because she's so strong, and she's a better contested mark.

With AFLW so congested at the moment, someone like Cleaver who can break tackles and out-wrestle defenders might be preferred by most clubs. But if the best clubs like Brisbane or Adelaide had to choose, I reckon they'd take Franklin, because they could use her better.

I'm the wrong person to ask about trading picks, though, I'll always say that in the AFLW right now it's a sin. With the quality that's coming through near-future drafts, it's like trading 200 bucks next week for 50 dollars right now. If you're patient, it's always a bad deal.

Yeah I’d like Amy in the blue and gold but she isn’t coming for a draft pick alone. Outside that not much else. We just keep hitting that draft hard and building from there

Yes, this has happened. Vic clubs do deals with interstate clubs that moves the Vic clubs up the order relative to other Vic clubs, without the interstate clubs position in the draft being affected relative to their state.

Mind you, I don't think it's been exploited to much due to a gentleman's understanding.

In theory, Freo could trade a high value player to Vic and jump ahead of us in the draft and get the first WA pick.

That the effective position in the draft of clubs can be changed by deals that don't involve that club is an inherent flaw in a state based draft.

Cleaver and Henry already rdy to come to the same great club ;) it's a bit of a toss up who would eventually win out in the F50 between Frankie and Georgie tbh. Trying to actually get Franklin over and the bullshit that would entail just doesn't seem worth it anyhow. Draft the talent and develop it, hopefully by some minor miracle Prior will develop as a coach so that they don't become disillusioned and leave.

Bushby (Personal) Shilling, Bennett (OMIT) OUT

Bullas, Simmons, Sedunary IN

They really don’t care about the positions they name players in, do they. Roberts in the ruck, Hartill onball, Lakay on a forward flank, Schmidt at fullback…

Changes are good. Thought Schilling didn’t offer as much as Simmons as backup ruck last week. Sedunary for Bennett is a no-brainer, Bullas for an unavailable Bushby makes sense.

Close to full strength apart from the players out for the season, so no excuses.

Sedunary and Simmons makes sense
I would have kept Schilling in defence ahead of Bullas.

Poor old Emily has been found out at this level
Schilling was taken as a high draft pick as a key defender.
In a year of playing a young team, surely she should play down back and develop.
Hartill looks athletic but she looked terrible against Franklin, who hasn’t been setting the world on fire herself.
