Genuine question: Did the termination in question actually occur?

The negative angles of some media outlets phrase their reports as if it did go ahead but I'm not certain if any definite information was even made public on this matter apart from points like the one posted above.
I thought it was reported that it didn’t happen - the story was the pressure, not the outcome.

No.
Was reported in one of the early articles.

Using the phrase "ambiguous statement" in the apology is a bit of a petulant dick move. It comes across that he has been instructed in no uncertain terms by the ABC and their lawyers that a retraction and apology was his only reasonable action but that he is not completely happy about it.

When I read Sonja's letter there was no ambiguity at all for me in that sentence. I knew immediately that she was referring to JHF and the trade period.

I just had another read through of the piece
"Ian" and partner had the baby,
Partner became pregnant again but terminated because of what the Hawks allegedly did to them the first time around. Note there is no suggestion anyone at hawthorn had anything to do with that decision.
Theyre not together anymore it seems

It was in the ABC article- the termination did not go ahead. However, they fell pregnant a second time unexpectedly and this time she did have a termination reportedly because she didn't want to go through all the drama again.

My understanding and I was discussing this yesterday with a contact was that the player went to the club and told them his partner was pregnant and he had no idea what to do and said he didn’t think both personally and professionally he was ready for a child. Hawthorn discussed a range of support measures and offerred options including suggesting “have you considered termination”. The termination never proceeded in that instance.

Ratten sounds bloody awesome to me provided we do our due diligence and suss out the reason for his sacking from St Kilda.

Could be nothing more than them wanting Ross Lyon but considering the sacking occurred after a review, we'd obviously want to make sure everything was fine.

So Rusty Jackson clearly can’t read and loves to jump to conclusions.
Maybe he can’t interpret aurally either. In his interviews, maybe the woman said “Clarko suggested that one option could be to terminate our pregnancy”. Rusty writes down whilst shaking his head “racist demanded that she kill her baby”. Maybe what the woman said was ambiguous?
Self taught journalist. Must have been away the day he was teaching English comprehension.

What a cracker of a song. Now if we could only find a way to work A Town Called Malice into this thread 🤣
Well if these lines don't sum up our last couple of years then I don't know what does…

Struggle after struggle, year after year
The atmosphere's a fine blend of ice I'm almost stone cold dead

Very true. Now excuse me while I sing.... It's enough to make you stop believing when tears come fast and furious .....

That's what I remembered from reading reports. Some of the more recent news reports are worded as though the forced termination actually did occur - that had me puzzled.

This best describes the various iterations of this thread, particularly the Parma, dimmies, rice cooker etc etc discussions.

Geez you guys... this thread is turning up some pleasant memories of a certain young lady who shared with me, a mutual love of the Jam - maybe this song was our solid bond (at the time) as we shared many a cappuccino and discussion of British heritage and politics.
