I am always inspired (not) when a Premier's news release is grammatically incorrect. Really? All the advisers money can buy and they get it wrong. It's "in principle. The 'Principal' will be found at your local school....unless it is an up your self private school where it will be the Head Master. Give me a break.

Laughed at the same thing. Pathetic.

Political advisors are usually just kids on a political career path.

Advisors yes.

Usually press secretaries (now media advisors) are more adept with the written word.

I am glad you bought this up. Over it.

In my experience some are on that path, I’d say the majority are in it to make a difference policy wise and aren’t interested in a political career.

Certainly they skew young, the criticism about lacking life experience and coming from a relatively shallow demographic pool with minimal diversity is valid.

It is often their first or second job out of university, and they get a tad carried away with their sense of self importance.
The senior advisors are better in some cases and the crews settle down a bit once they have held office for a few years.
Only groups of adults that I have heard say, and truly believe, ‘we own this town’, are young groups of political advisors out on the turps. Their habits of just coming up with tired old policy ideas that have been shown to be flawed, and thinking that they are brilliantly original, can be a tad tiresome also.
The advisors model we use in this country adds to inefficiency in the public service and ministerial offices.
They do come from a very shallow pool, which I must admit to being adjacent too.

Roos star in fairytale wedding

North Melbourne players were celebrating at the weekend after star footballer Luke McDonald married Brooklyn Pensini on the Gold Coast.

McDonald showed off the stunning wedding pictures on Sunday, with the couple surrounded by family and friends at Braeside Estate.

Guests included McDonald’s teammates Cam Zurhaar and Nick Larkey, with familiar faces among the groomsmen in St Kilda’s Jack Billings and former Roo Taylor Garner.

McDonald proposed to Pensini, who wore a dress by Kyha Studios, in Port Macquarie in December last year.
