Down to watch training today. Griff, Hall, Corr and CCJ look to be doing some work aside from the main group - no TT as far as I can tell

*he has just come out now, doing some work also on the side

Me whenever a poster says they’ve made their way to Arden St to watch training:

Been doing a couple of rotations in smaller groups, seems to be focusing on overlap run out of defence and pressure on the ball carrier. Overall skills are okay but could be better. Archer has been clean and had a couple really nice moments, Souv also laying some good tackles

Wardlaw doing some solo laps at a casual pace while PC has been running laps pretty much the whole session.

CCJ and Spicer have also been about doing some work off the side.

They had just done a drill where it’s sent inside 50 from the centre and a bit of action up forward trying to find a target. Looks like they wanted to get the ball out wide and bring in that way but also could have been more focused on getting out of the d50 which there were a couple of nice moments for sure
Eddie Ford took a huge hanger down in the fwd pocket that everyone was getting around him for.

Have you asked TT how his foot is yet? ;-)

Have done quite a few drills looking at coming in and out of the forward half and from a kick in. A lot of the instruction really seems to be around positioning and timing (when to go and not to go).

Must admit I’m on the drury bandwagon, maybes it’s the giant hands but he is very clean and sharp and looks to just be giving everything each drill.

LDU been really good with the stoppages in usual breakaway fashion.

Ziebell has been mainly with the defenders in most drills and looks to be moving well.

At some point Hall and Griff have gone back in. And spicer, TT, CCJ and wardlaw have also had early finishes.

Overheard some of the staff who were working with the above lads talking about conditioning so reckon they are just trying to get KMs into a few of them between some of the less intense drills.

Slowly starting to fill out.

It's a good sign, we got him so young he's hitting the Goldstein draft body stage now.

At his age/height probably not a bad thing to get some 'dirty' weight on which he looks to be doing. He can trim up in a couple of years as needed.

Concern would be seeing a 202cm looking like a beanpole 1.5 years into the system which he ain't.

I don't know how fit Edwards is but at least he has a decent set of shoulders and thighs on him. Looks to have a frame you can build on.

He has the skinny calf syndrome that a lot of AFL players do. I blame Gen Z's being driven everywhere rather than walking or biking it.

I might use that one myself.. “dirty weight” and I’ll fix it up later lol
