And yet I'm pretty sure he's a black belt, in Karate. Someone correct me, if I'm wrong.
For as long as he can remember he's wanted to play in the AFL, although he did try a variety of sports as a child, including basketball, tennis, cricket and karate, where he earned a black belt before giving the sport up at 13.

"I think I've still got the moves," he says.

"I think it certainly helps with staying strong and keeping your feet, not going to ground.

"That's about it. I'm not too much of a fighter on the field."

CCJ looking huge and still looks like he could pack on another 4-5 KFs on those broad shoulders.

He may surprise a few this year.
Can he move quicker than the QE2?

From all reports, the training intensity is way up compared to what we are used to seeing. That's despite having quality assistants in the past from successful programs who haven't been able to influence much, but now with Clarkson there, the difference is tangible.

You probably have a good source.

But from my viewing (only 2 sessions so far, I will probably be back Friday) it’s at a deliberately lower intensity to last year.

Noble concentrated on flogging then on high intensity running in between drills, there was a lot of spewing up etc between drills last year.

I haven’t seen too much high intensity running sessions so far.

The ball drills are extremely basic. I.e what you would expect in local football training sessions.

Overlapping handball receive circle work.
3 man weaves.
Moving the ball from one side of the arc and into the F50.
Even simple handball line work which I’ve never seen at an AFL club before.

Clarko very much looks like hes stripping it right back to bare basics (I.e crawl before you can run)

The skill sessions have been very low intensity from my viewing so far

Where else can he play? Running out of options for JZ
Depends on how his body is. If he is too slow and can go long, I think he might be headed for early subs with the new rule. He has to be accountable for spot, and while certainly his experience is a factor I just desperately want his transition to be one where he helps this club to the maximum, as a shinboner on and off the field.

Kerr did that when he took over the Warriors.

We had made the payoffs two years in a row when he took over and had them running drills that they learnt in high school. The players were all questioning why. Unlike Clarko, Kerr had no creditability as a coach as he had never coached at any level, though he had plenty as a player, GM and commentator. They trusted him, went back to basics, learnt the complicated system and won it in Kerrs first year.

What's this about Aaron Hall?

For this of you who may live in surrounding areas and/or be interested in seeing your boys.

Happy festive period all.
