Dafuq were Brisbane groundsmen doing before this test?

Grass growth throughout the pitch making the bounce unpredictable and seam bowlers basically licking their lips. I would be more excited if the pitch was properly hardened like a Brisbane pitch should be. There's no entertainment in watching batsmen get out repeatedly when the pitch is in such a poor state.

Look at how more defined and glistening this pitch looks. This was during hard lockdowns and restrictions going on and off.

This is late 2021 test vs. England when they were massacred. The Gabba is a hard place to bat but these pitches should be ready to go and not in this sort of condition. Not good enough from Brisbane's sport organisers.

Les Burdett used to say he prepared his pitches with the aim of getting a result after tea on day 5 which I always thought was a good maxim.

Generally if you get both first innings around the 300-350 mark you have a good game.

No one wants a road but that was poor.

Even when Johnson rolled England on the repeat in 2013/14 Ashes, the Gabba pitch was absolutely about as dry as it could be with multiple cracks. It was a bowler's nightmare and he still managed to roll the England top order with Harris and co.

I get cricket has been stifled by COVID and other things, but there are still millions of diehard fans watching. Show the sport some respect.

Like clockwork, an Aussie test finishes, the Indian fans have a sook about something that doesn't involve them on twitter.

They're basically the BF Port fans of the cricket world.

And are they bloody moaning! I wonder if the curator copped a stump speared through the door of their garden shed?

All you had to do was bowl better to the conditions and your team would have been a chance, despite losing the toss you w***er (S.A. captain).

I like that they are trying to prepare result pitches.
The game is just so much better when the ball does a bit

This one was obviously too much in favor of the side bowling first. But would rather watch 2 days of that than 4 days of 500 for 3
for instance, Heads 92 though not a century is actually much more impressive

Brisbane is an easy place to bat once your in. The expert batsman see off 2 or 3 overs and then start making runs. New batsman at the crease its hard. Meh, rather that, than a road. Plus, how many times have we travelled OS and the pitches be doctored. We have pitches that suit batsman in this country when we have 3 of the best fast bowling attack in the world.

Kudos Brisbane!
