I listened to the interview. I honestly dont believe he legitimately considered it. Just appeasing to the question while being respectable to a champion WCE forward IMO.

They are a lot of coaches hanging around for a long time these days. Bevo is too erratic for my liking and an extension seems crazy. Our club has done the same thing with extending Simmo e to 2025 on the quiet.

It seems like you're almost guaranteed a 10 year stint if you get a head coaching job with a stable club.

I don't know where to put this really as it's not on the opposition, still it's interesting.
Watching the GF final from Katherine, the 3 Rivers League, and the have the card system, yellow and red. I didn't know that was in use in any of the AFL affiliated leagues around the country.
As an aside, jeez Ngukurr have some sensational indigenous boys playing for them - just so exciting to watch. Getting my AFL fix in the NT.

St Kilda to crash and burn yet still finish above Fremantle

NB : Fremantle also traded their 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks for 2023 so a low finish doesn’t improve their draft position.
