Brisbane is an easy place to bat once your in. The expert batsman see off 2 or 3 overs and then start making runs. New batsman at the crease its hard. Meh, rather that, than a road. Plus, how many times have we travelled OS and the pitches be doctored. We have pitches that suit batsman in this country when we have 3 of the best fast bowling attack in the world.

Kudos Brisbane!

yep don't have a problem with preparing wickets that suit the home team. This one was just a bit too much though as still doing plenty on day 2 and was too much in favour of the side winning the toss

Boland keeps his spot, Hazelwood will not play.
Final Xi just named.

Australia XI: David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland

I disagree that it favoured the side winning the toss as the batting conditions did not get any easier by late on day 2. It was a bowler's pitch all the way through. The toss was not that much of a factor. South Africa should have at least been able to outscore Australia's first innings total in their second innings if conditions were any better on the second day than the first.

It's amazing how many professional cricketers just fail to adjust to Australian conditions.
And, correct me if im wrong here, but particularly a team from south africa with what would be more similar conditions there?

Yeah, there are similarities, but Australian pitches bounce a bit more, SA pitches are also a bit slower and have more swing. MCG doesn’t get a breeze impacting the swing much, but would probably think it is closest to SA conditions.

It's the bounce they don't seem to adjust to. If you can make runs in South Africa and NZ then you can bat pretty bloody well, but they refuse to adjust their game to the conditions here.

Tendulkar kept snicking off driving here in Aus so he practiced shelving that shot. He then made a 200 odd without a single drive. Obviously he was a freak but he did nothing different other than putting away the shot that got him into trouble here.

Teams will flash at balls on the up all day, get bowled out for 150-250 then come on and bowl wide, back of a length while the Aussies just leave on length all day. It's just plain dumb and not good enough for professionals.
