Agar they want in because he he is a Left arm orthodox spinner and most of India's Batsmen are Right handers. Lyon has a better strike rate against Left handed batsmen. Agar can also Bat.

Dooley also is a lefty.

Agar only gets in over Kuhnemann because the selectors are shit scared of our batsmen struggling over there and they think Agar can bat.

It’s a weaker India side than last time we played them at least. Kohli and Pujara past their best, Pant is a huge out, Bumrah also looking unlikely to be fit. Can see Marnus having a big tour over there to cement himself as a generational batter and Smith will be desperate to score runs in probably his last tour over there. But definitely a huge challenge

Basically we've got arguably the most complete Australian side in probably 15 years and India are on the down. By no means is it close to a given, but if it's gonna happen it could well be now.

The only genuine gap in the Australian lineup is the absence of a genuine second front line spinner. The upside is we have three genuine part time options who have been proven to take wickets, which does help.

CA have picked 4 spinners in the touring squad to go with said part-time options. You'd hope by the end of the series they'll have worked that one out.

Renshaw has been terrible, not sure Labs is a good T20 player but Ussie is a huge inclusion.

Eskinazi not getting a game early when Lyth and Hobson struggled worries me.

Morris will be a big blow for the Shield but needed as insurance if Starc and Green don't get up.
