Hardie has just settled into 3.
Dont want to move him.

Still a big difference between batting 3 and opening.
Next year with Mitch Back will be interesting. He might have to open with Mitch first down. Inglis by my recollection did struggle at 5 for a bit

Marnus isn't great T20 player. Uzzi actually is decent player in bag bash 2 centuries in this format. He's decent replacement for Munro like Bangers is for Faf. Both have a similar BBL record

The “won by x wickets” thing doesn’t really work in short form cricket.

It really should be x won by four overs. It would make far more sense
I'm not sure if anyone else was watching the free to air broadcast on 7mate (FTA is having a bit of a renaissance at my place atm), but I'm almost certain I saw them put up a graphic saying "Scorchers win by 8 wickets with 22 balls left" or similar shortly after Hardie hit the winning runs.

Stuck out to me as I hadn't noticed it before (been watching most games on Kayo).

Look, let's just all pile on Mop. Guy deserves it for being old and busted ;)

Colin Munro also had an excellent body of work as an international.
He did, and I conveniently omitted that the other of the first four innings he scored 114.

Not putting a line through him just yet, but he looked out of his depth last night to me.
I think he's just getting used to the tournament when a lot of the other players are already comfortable. Based on form elsewhere, he's a far better pick than Lyth.

We'll have to wait and see.
I'm sure he won't get dropped after two games and I don't know
If we have much to replace him with.

My concern is he didn't get a game before Hobson who was averaging 15.

Eski looks like he is under too much pressure because he knows he’s not up to the standard of the elite orange team.

Looked bamboozled against Kuhn’s wide left arm offies though.

I have a random question that I think belongs in this thread. "the cricket thread" doesn't show up for me on the main West Coast board anymore, making me think I might have accidentally hid it or something. Does anyone know how to undo this?
