I know we’re rebuilding and living in a glass house of sorts, but is this not the worst forward line in the comp thats aiming to play finals?

Two shorter KPF triers who are decent players, but they're not going to dominate games. Two good small forward, though neither are pressure forwards and JDG who will likely spend more time in the midfield.

Can Bobby Hill become a decent forward?

They're going the Geelong 07 - 11 route and will try and win through their midfield and defence. Their midfield is going to need to kick goals for them.

I really think they are going to be the biggest fall in ladder position from last year of any clubs. They won a hell of a lot of close ones and I actually don't see much improvement in them with a lot of their key players getting on in age.

Will be interesting to see if Titch will add much extra and if he can play well with Adams.

I think Tom will slow their ball movement down if they allow him to rack up possessions outside of the contest. That’s the big watch for me on them, but I agree that I think they will slide down.

Sounds like Man City are doing a Carlton sort of thing

As someone who follows EPL, good call.

Their scale of citeh’s “cheating” puts what Carlton did well into the shade. Talking 9 years and hundreds of millions.

Hope they cancel their title wins like what happened to the storm.

How long before we see a player from a northern Melbourne club request a trade to St Kilda for the "Go Home" factor?
More likely requesting a trade away from St.Kilda for the "Go Away" factor...

Pies game plan is clearly going to require him to adjust (not the other way around).

You don’t go to a flag contender and then try to run your own race. He will find his niche.

McRae would be onto that you'd think

Not sure where to post this (mods feel free to move as necessary please). For those who read my post in the AGM thread re. the HFC art deco lettering above the office entrance at Linda Crescent going missing late last year. The club is aware of it though they are not aware who has taken it (i.e. it has been stolen). Let's hope it is recovered - terrible form from whoever is involved.

I don't see what the big issue is with Mitchell / Collingwood. Surely he just comes in and plays the Taylor Adams role but without the longterm injuries which can / will happen at some point through the season.

Agree.
I reckon he'll star for them & be close to another Brownlow.

Apart from Mitchell there are also positive reports from their respective boards about our other John West rejects. It appears that Jaeger, Jack and Liam are pleasing their respective clubs in their preseasons. Haven't read much about Howe in recent reports so he may have a niggle.

Our rebuild is gathering momentum , and in hindsight, even the loss of Gunston may prove beneficial, as it allows our replacement talent to grow with the team. .

Our team appears to be getting a harder edge, along with some size, which is pleasing. I'm hoping MM can develop a bit of steel with our draft trading. We have been seen as amicable and fair for far too long.

Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere but nice to see off field contribution recognised

“Peter Haby was awarded the Jack Titus Service Award for outstanding service to football as the Hawthorn Football Club historian and museum curator.”

Congratulations
