Yep. Jan 26th 2020 Kobe died and then not long after the world imploded

Geez has it really been nearly three years since the world imploded?

Also, are you implying that Kobe was the only thing protecting us from a viral pandemic?

Exceptionally pleased with this news.

I wonder what legal recourse Peter has. I'm sure this has been an exceptionally costly error for him to endure, both personally and financially.
Result should not have been leaked to the press before the B sample result was known. Who is responsible for the leak ? Unfortunately mud sticks.

$200,000?? I'll do it for the cut-price rate of $100,000!

Be right back, just heading off to the Good Guys for some white goods.

Got a bit of space between the Zooper Doopers and the mince you bulk-bought and hoarded in February 2020?

Seriously though, those cryo companies are onto an awesome scheme there. There's no realistic prospect of ever having to do provide the service they're ultimately promising , and if they run out of space and get rid of a few stiffs to make space for some new clients, the old clients can't lodge a complaint or take them to court, lol.

I have cord stem-cells cryo frozen for both my kids that they're supposed to keep until the kids turn 18 in case of medical emergency and advancements etc. Obviously I'm hoping it's a complete waste of money and they never have to use it and they can crack open the jar on their 18th and skull down the merch in celebration.

I got that sales pitch at the birthing classes too. Figured it was a con and turned it down.

Genuine fanboi moment yesterday.

Was waiting to cross a busy road in London, glanced at bloke standing next to me, and it was Jony Ives.

Managed to internalise the ensuing schoolgirl squeal…just.

Had to go for a cup of tea and a sit down. Got ‘that’ look from the wife…

So who else had to google Jony Ives

For those that didn’t have to, I only have this

Im skim reading this thread. Is this real?

At the risk of being that person, Peter Bol has not tested negative. He essentially has an inconclusive result from his B sample which means that his provisional suspension is lifted but he can certainly still be suspended later upon further investigation.

Yes, the obstetrician removes stem cells from the umbilical cord and they get sent for freezing - with the idea (touch wood) that if they may be needed for a medical emergency in the future and with the progression of medical research in the area that they could be invaluable for your child. Realistically they will likely never need to use them - and I'd be happy with the outlay in that case.

Not for everyone, but I'm happy with the decision.

It was an 'atypical' result, not 'adverse', meaning I think he is free to compete. Sports Integrity Australia still has to investigate though.

Posted this in the sports thread but a cyclist who tested positive in 2017 but had an atypical B sample for EPO (ie like Peter Bol) was still eventually suspended.

Unfortunately this is no guarantee of Bol getting off completely.
