I might get interested when I've actually seen the 2 pre-season games against Freo and WCE because it appears there will be no coverage available of the intraclub trial game. Pretty sure McHenry has always been ahead of Murphy in the pecking order re selection and IMO neither have really been played to their strengths anyhow. Neither are small forwards IMO, Murphy is an inside mid/small defender and McHenry an outside mid/winger where his exceptional tank can be best utilised..
😂

I realise this off season seems to have been going forever but this board is looking more like a Survivor tribal council than normal- let's all take a breath and forgive and forget, time to woah back on the personal attacks - we all follow the Crows and even though we all have different views we all want the same thing - McHenry to play SANFL, haha nah - we want our players to reach potential and the AFC to succeed.

Also can anyone update me on who you all used to be, because I can't keep up with the confrontations and the history behind them, thanks.

assume everyone is Alex

No

I''ll wait until I've actually seen them play this season i.e Freo and WCE and disapointingly it appears there is no streaming of the intraclub Friday.

Training reports are fine but I have question marks over some players at this point. i.e. Wayne Milera, Luke Pedlar, Lachie Gollant etc

Smart.

So much easier to be correct with the benefit of hindsight!!!

Talking of survivor, well done to those who helped ensure Port were 1st to go.

Next I reckon we load up on Richmond for 2017....

Well done all as going to plan as we have succeeded taking out Port then Richmond.

We need to look to take out the Hugh supporter clubs.

So thinking Collingwood next.

You’re running out of teams to support
He just comes on here to whinge about all the teams he has given up following.

Not many teams around which have a perfect record lol.

Not bad really, you know, for the herald sun.

Only changes I'd make are:
Worrell for Michalanney if fit
Dawson on the wing for Sloane, Jones in Dawson's HB spot and Sloane as sub
As much as I'd love Thilthorpe and Himmelberg instead of Rob that isn't realistic for round 1

That best 22 was done by Simeon Thomas-Wilson who works for the 'Tiser, so probably a more knowledgeable best 22 than what we'd normally get given he's spent time at training through the PS watching the team.

Worrell and Doedee have no bearing on Dawson being on the half back line. It's Hamill, Smith, Jones, Sholl, Hinge etc.

It's been the standard build for a decade + to build an outside group defence out and whilst that group ranges from average-garbage, Dawson is going to be in defense. Really, it likely requires one of them to overtake Dawson to shift that paradigm.

Rankine is truly the great white hope.
Great indigenous hope?

Oh, of course it does have an impact .....how many talls versus runners are you having in DEF

You try and fit all of Smith, Milera, Pistol, Butts, Murray, Worrell, Doedee into that DEF

Teams this year are looking at run out of DEF ....hence why Milera is going back

Of course they are. They've been looking to do that for a very long time. Thus you've hit on why it's very unlikely Dawson is moved. Ultimately, it's where a teams best outside player plays with wings being more for the 2-3 guys on the depth chart (or 3-4 if you're stacked with outside talent).

You don't fit all of them is the short answer.

Yes.

Top 50 picks:

2016
Fremantle - Darcy, (Brodie)
Adelaide - Gallucci, Poholke

2017
Fremantle - Brayshaw
Adelaide -

2018
Fremantle - Valente, (Clark)
Adelaide - Jones, (Hately), (Rankine)

2019
Fremantle - Serong
Adelaide - Schoenberg, O'Connor

2020
Fremantle - O'Driscoll
Adelaide - Pedlar, Berry

2021
Fremantle - Erasmus, Johnson
Adelaide - Rachele, Soligo, Taylor

Both clubs have a young emerging ruck forward (Thilthorpe and Jackson). Both have some extra experience around the middle (Laird, Keays, Fyfe, O'Meara)

EDIT: Removed McHenry as I don't believe we drafted him as a midfielder
