Not much we don't know already about the kids, our rebuild and our future.
Did Schoey really predict we'll finish top 8? Bit of a stretch...
Interesting format but it didn't really work as an article. The guy that was being intentionally negative could only do it by ignoring the success of the 2021 draft and the fact that a bunch of the kids were injured against Crows/played against Port so were rotated to give others a go. Pretty shallow analysis.

Sounds like they're actually kiwis!

"Over the last 12 or so months, both Daniel Jon Kershaw and HB Meyers have had a playful but of banter over the quality of the younger West Coast cohort"

Feel like the chatter about Yeo rotating off the HBF has cooled, yet the club continues to mention Shuey playing minutes in the back line.

Can we expect Yeo to play as that full time bull? Or will he work in tandem with Culley as a mid/fwd threat now?

I do love the match up he provides being able to go head to head with other mid/fwds as he is an astute defender, but our backline is looking pretty stacked.

McKay & likely Zurhaar out as well hurts Norf for round 1. Might be the universe giving us a leg up after the game last year where we put in such a massive effort with all those WAFL top ups...

Gut feel is Darling will get up for rnd 1. I've only seen still shots, so no idea if he is running at any decent pace as yet - but the reports from afar do seem positive.

Similar gut feel that Nic will miss (probably the first few rounds sadly).

So the big issue is can BW get up for the game, or if not can HEdwards be our back-up ruck (assuming Barnett isn't anywhere near the required levels after a limited/interrupted preseason).

Darling and Williams will add a lot to our forward structure if both play.

Agree, just going through the motions of his allocated task..

Lets hope Darling plays 1st round. The big question with NN out, is can the mids function properly with the 2nd ruckman? (or can the 2nd ruckman supply the mids properly?)

North are a basket case, and yes they fell over the line against our WAFL topups last year (you're such a campaigner Larkey)...

But they've been in a rebuild and had another year of development for their youngsters, whilst we've brought in a couple goodies ourselves along with a handful or senior players coming back.

Both clubs supposedly have new game plans.

Makes for an interesting matchup. Who's improved more, us or them? They've totally bottomed out, we're still potentially due for another couple years of pain.

Yikes, imagine comparing yourself to Norf. :drunk:

Will be great to see Sheezle and Wardlaw. Especially if Ginby and Hewitt play and absolutely light it up and flog the pair of them.

The Pieman will become King!

But I honesty, am keen to see both of them in their first game. Exciting to see a crop of top end draftees debuting together in opposite colours.

Will Wardlaw be fit for round 1?
