Not sure if his master plan really worked though
Last time we played them they only just fell across the line - and that was after the ‘best bloke in the world’ basically assassinated our most important meatball

Can’t stand Scott and the Scats

that's probably the master plan greasy scott was referring to

Dumb question is there any general admission area despite being a so called sell out for us members that have a home game membership?

Yeah, there'll be GA seating... don't know how much, but don't buy into the AFL greed for people to spend as much $$ as they can on a reserved seat. This isn't a sell out. There'll be bays available on level 4 of the Southern or the Ponsford Stand for walk up GA members. Link and snippet below:

Looking at the spuds this carlton team has i really cant see why they are so confident

They have 5 players in the team then a bunch of plodders
Nuffin more interesting than watching oppo plodders pretending they are gun footballers!

Chris Scott is on the first episode of On the Couch and basically admitted to having a sole focus of creating a game plan that could beat us.
To his credit, he was complimentary of us and called us the team of the generation since Hawthorn, but if I could choose to beat any team this year it would be Geelong.

I hate those campaigners more than anyone else.
Bet no one asked him whether they could have done it without the stand rule.

It's done wonders for me already, the scat supporters keep melting when they see it.;)
he is shaking and saying "add the vfa flags, add the vfa flags, they real I tells ya"

Round 1 team I’d want:

B: Vlastuin, Miller, Grimes
HB: Rioli, Balta, Baker
C: McIntosh Prestia Clarke
HF: Cumberland, Lynch, Martin
F: Bolton, Riewoldt, MRJ
Foll: Nankervis, Hopper, Taranto

Int: Broad, Cotchin, Ryan, Ross/Graham/Sonsie

Sub: Ralphsmith/players above

I could see us going with Young down back and Miller a second ruck/forward, or doing Young and Soldo which would be the worst combo out of them I think. Not sure if I’m forgetting any players, but considering our injuries I think this team is looking pretty solid. Hopefully we see I rise in effort and intensity, which might make our forward line look less slow compared to the practice matches. It might take a while for everything to click but I think with Bolton, MRJ and Cumberland those guys can apply enough pressure.

Lowering our eyes to hit up the stars in the forward line would also add another layer to our game instead of bombing it and trying to pressure the opponent like we usually do. I think when the time comes to it we’ll still have good pressure, at least I hope so. Our list looks good on paper, but a lot needs to go right to be the best team of the year. Hopefully everything clicks and we can give it a crack. If not, it’ll be disappointing but not the end of the world I guess. Still expecting exciting things. Show me the pressure and fight in round 1 Tigers.

Tigers by 29 as we work into the season

No doubt we’re significantly better on paper this year, just hope it’s not at the expense of leg speed.

For team balance, gotta find a spot or 2 for the likes of HRS,Cumberland Clarke, Brown

Geelong proved it last year when they had plenty of young running players around their veterans , you need guys that can cover the ground quickly
