Tears in heaven and Cats in the cradle. What is the saddest song ever written ?
They make a solid electric number - XC40?Are Volvos still a thing? Can't remember seeing one in a long time
They will literally all be electric soonThey make a solid electric number - XC40?
Tears in heaven and Cats in the cradle.
Like a lot of cars really. Jeep and Chrysler come to mind.Volvo lost a lot of badge cred. Euro money for made in China. It's not really the statement soccer moms dropping $80k+ on an suv are wanting to make.
NB the cars still seem to be high quality. It's all perception and brand bollocks imo
lol my wife drives 10km under the speed limit at the best of times. Her problem is she keeps losing her car in the shopping centre car park, then phones me to come and find it.I'd avoid the Volvo, for some reason part of people's brains fall out when they start driving one.
When my oldest was born I couldn't listen to Cats the Cradle for a while.
Still can't listen to Tears in Heaven.
Cats in the Cradle is more of a song about regret though, the dad spent too much time working instead of spending time with his kid, so you can make sure you don't make the same mistake.
I read The Road by Cormac McCarthy when my daughter was under 2. And despite loving his books - this one is particularly great - and being one of only a few authors who I will their books more than once I told myself I can't go back to it until she grows up. Then my son came along and that set me back another 5 years before I can read it again.
Nothing more important in the world for me than my son, can't imagine not talking to him every day. When my oldest was born I couldn't listen to Cats the Cradle for a while.
Still can't listen to Tears in Heaven.
That gets my vote
Cats in the granny, and the wooden spoon...I imagine the Cats in the Cradle type regret is what a Dockers supporting father feels like when they make their child follow Freo and they grow up and realise that they're both losers together.

It's more than just regret though. It's a cautionary tale too...
And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me
My boy was just like me
Just imagine being neglected your whole childhood, only then to have to play at Freo because your dad did. Talk about paying for the sins of the father.Ohhh, so it's about a former Freo player whose son has been taken by them under the Father-Son rule.
