Rachele is that guy.

No doubt Rankine will go through there.

But Rachele should be a mid who rests forward. Like Bolton or Bailey. That transition needs to start this year.

They both are tbh. Rankines contested game is too strong for him to be left as a small forward. Ditto Rachele.

It'll be interesting how we tie all this and it might just be a case of teams are always dealing with a Rankine or Rachele around the ball.

I don't think tomorrow will be representative of the season for us, it's just not the sort of game we win.

That's the point exactly, if it's just another run of the mill loss then we know exactly where we're placed.

It's a game we can win and I feel that if we're set to have a decent season then we'll beat them tomorrow.

Port winning and JHF starring was rather predictable if you actually thought about it for more than a minute.

The pre-season matches have never meant anything - even moreso these days - and JHF is a generational jet.
The preseason for them showed issues of sides getting them in transition - Brisbane have not been able to do that today and port obvioulsy have looked at that. Collingwood were almost manic last night getting the ball forward at times - will pose a different set of problems for port over there next week

I think when things aren’t going their way (ie north) that’s when the head drops and he checks out.
Will be interesting to see how he plays when Port are struggling.

Got the feeling he will still be good & case of being much happier at home.

I'm actually happy he came home, along with Rankine & hope the trend continues of local players returning home.

I wasn't convinced on what I saw of him at North, but he looks a completely different player at Port.

Will be interesting to see how much time Rankine plays in the middle. Didn't see him do it a lot in the two preseason games.

But Rachele in the middle was one thing I loved seeing, and want to see more this year.

I personally can't read anything into Port from this performance, This happened time and time again to Brisbane last year a team would get a run on and they couldn't stop it, We will know where Port are when they play Pies next week.

GWS are far better than last year's results imo, and they'll have that new coach bounce. At home too, I'll be surprised if we get close to them.

I'm predicting a close loss.

Brisbane made the same mistake many sides make - they thought their issue was that they were one or two good players short of a Grand Final. But their issue is their mental side. They're oozing talent, just can't deliver.
I agree, talent is not the issue at Brisbane.

There's massive question marks over Fagan, especially in finals. He's looking being another Neil Craig or Grant Thomas.

I think there's a danger Brisbane will miss their premiership window if they don't move Fagan on.

Yep. North screwed up badly. They knew he'd want to go home and drafted him anyway.
They screwed up looking after him.
They then threw him away for bugger all when they didn't need to.
No wonder they are a joke of a club.
It’s a bit of a ‘back down to Earth’ moment for North after Sheezel’s game today haha

No Jarryd Lyons no Brisbane?
