They'd have to be favourites with their injury list. But considering we're 18th and have really only been missing Lewis, a string of injuries could certainly see us struggle too. We've had a good run with injuries so far.

It would take some Dean Bailey circa 2009 levels of tanking from Sam for us to finish bottom now and even then I doubt we could finish below Wet Toast.

They may want to parlay pick #1 into picking up the two best WA talents?
Yeah, that probably means they trade pick #1 to Geelong for their first rounder plus whatever first rounder Gold Coast hand them this year.
May as well just play for "meaningless" wins now in the hope of that winning culture amounting to something

I suspect their number 1 target will be Daniel Curtin. If we hold pick 2 and they know we will pick him if they don’t. They can’t trade down anyway as he will be gone at pick 2 anyway. Do we really think they wouldn't take Reid at 1???
I think it will depend on Curtin's output this year- the kid is very bloody good, but potentially plays in a position WCE has less coverage for.
That being said, if they take Harley, Curtin/Reid would be wonderful "consolation" picks.
